City of Dreams, City of Puppets Part 1: The Beginning of the Introduction

This, is the beginning of your journey, PREPARE YOURSELVES!


we start, near the end of academies "class times"...directly before everyone is set to go off to afternoon break, a 3 hour period in which the students can do...whatever the hell theyd like that is within the boundaries of the laws of physics and regular laws.

Argentum, Tragon, Zachary were set to depart from Physics class, run by Dr. Frank Einstein.
Dr Einsteins class, bluntly put, is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING. most students end up falling asleep in his class...which doesnt matter to him one bit as he sometimes manages to put himself to sleep. A lot of students compare him to a zombie...which may not be far off from some sort of truth...

Jack and Danny were set to depart from English, run by a Mr. Sirius Lee.
Mr Sirius' class is medium pace, but he puts a lot of enthusiasm and energy into each and every lecture he gives. his energy is so contagious its profoundly difficult for his students to sit concentrate, as how erratically he runs around tends to draw the students' attention more than the actual lecture...

Sakura and Armin were set to depart from Math, run by Prof. Eddie Shun
Eddies lectures...usually go very very slow. a very thorough professor who makes sure to go over every little step to every little math equation. his lectures are so thorough homework is virtually nonexistent in his class...

Luke, Roxy, and Ruby are going to be departing from Biology, run by Mr. Boe Ring
Mr Boe Ring is highly, HIGHLY enthusiastic about his job...which is an understatement in itself.
even though biology is supposed to encompass many living things...his classes mainly consist of Plants. he is obsessed  with them. especially roses, which end up as the center of many a biology lecture.

and as a final note to all those leaving their classes, remember:
most students do not want an encounter with Principle Smilen Wave and the three prefects Kowalski, Rico and a boy everyone refers to as "Private" for some reason.
all 4 of them wear similar tuxedo-esque uniforms and are seen prowling the halls...a lot...like they think their some kinda undercover blackops teams... in short, they are all designated as "weirdos" and it has been deemed prudent by many people to not piss off principle Smilen, at all.

Everything going as planned for Armin it didn’t take long to deliver a crushing blow to his opponent with his Sphreez taking advantage of the opposing monsters using her powerful gust of winds he finished the duel in a flash. At the end he simply sighed to himself shaking his head in disappointment.

“That went too smoothly…..you must be holding back” He said while frowning "Please do not underestimate me for my ag-". His words didn’t reach the man as he yelled at Armin on his tactics calling his tactics disrespectful and then walked away. The boy simply shrugged it off keeping his cool as always.

“Not the first time I’ve heard that before”.

He then turned around and noticed the two twins running towards his direction and behind them was Sakura following their lead but at a slower pace. Armin simply waited for them to come as he shuts down his duel disk removing his deck from it and placing it back in his holster.

[Kiernan]

Danny turns to go off in search of someone to duel, preferably someone in a cute costume. He accidentally bumps into someone and starts apologizing, speaking rapidly, embarassed. He looks up at the person and pales slightly. They're dressed up as a vampire. The person obviously was a stickler for detail, as even the makeup seemed flawless.

He knew that it was just a costume, but the hairs on the back of his neck still stood on end. He mumbled "Excuse me" and walked away quickly, heading towards the other end of the room.

[Nosferatu Alucard]

Feeling that something hit his back (Even if didn't even hurt), Argentum flipped back to see what was happening. A boy around the age of 12 bumped him, probably without wanting.

He noticed that the little ((Stable)) boy was scared of his costume. Before getting the chance of saying anything, the ((Stable)) boy mumbled a "Excuse me" and quickly got out.

Knowing that the cause of the running was him, he felt guilty and followed the boy until the other end of the room. "Err... Excuse me, but i think that i scared you. So, what's your name?"

"beat...him...and he looked very very mad..."

the twins skidded to a stop in front of armin...

"he uh...didnt happen to have"

"an...odd xyz monster...did he?"

"like he didnt summon a particularly...odd xyz monster...did he?"

the twins ask, very concerned, as they kept exchanging worried looks between each other.

[Kiernan]

Danny is still a bit shocked by the other person's appearance, but whoever it is doesn't seem interesting in sucking his blood or anything like that... So what's the harm?

"M-my name's Danny. What's yours?"

After asking the other person's name, Danny quickly looks down, feeling awkward. And more than a little embarrassed by his own behavior... Running away from someone in a vampire costume... Just how childish was he? He mentally chides himself over and over again.

[Akaneia]

After a powerful hurricane flew his knight back to his hand, his opponent surrendered. He must have ran out of defenses at that point. Tragon sighed, it was too close for comfort for him. "That was a nice duel, I'm Tragon and you are?" He asked, extending his hand for a handshake as his other placed his deck away, holding a light smile on his face.

Argentum smiled, the boy didn't look like he was in shock. After hearing the question, he answered gently. "My name is Argentum. Argentum Ziminiar." After seeing that, he saw that the boy was carrying a duel disk, so, he asked with the same gently tone of before. "Tell me, you're a duelist, right? Want to have some fun?"

Hearing them saying how he defeated that person, Armin raised an eyebrow at that.

"What? it really wasn't that tough of a duel." He then looked back at where the direction on where the stranger went and sighed "Although i do feel bad that i had to go all out on that turn."

Armin then looked back at the twins and asked in a calm manner "Is he a friend of yours?"

When asked about whether the stranger summoned an odd xyz monster by the two. Armin noticed them looking concerned over that matter to which he simply shrugged and responded in the same calm tone as before.

"I don't know what you two mean by that, it was over really quick, however the answer is no".

Sakura caught up with the group and glanced a worried look at Armin.

"What is going on here?"

[Kiernan]

Argentum smiled, the boy didn't look like he was in shock. After hearing the question, he answered gently. "My name is Argentum. Argentum Ziminiar." After seeing that, he saw that the boy was carrying a duel disk, so, he asked with the same gently tone of before. "Tell me, you're a duelist, right? Want to have some fun?"

"I know how to play the game... I'm just not very good at it," Danny rubs his arm self-consciously. He seems to consider for a moment, then nods resolutely.

"I'm up for it if you are."

[Blade_Viper]

Jack gladly takes the handshake.
"Jack. You duel quite well, I must say."
A happy smile is on his face.

[Nosferatu Alucard]

"That is a yes then. Let's start now." Said Argentum in the same gently tone.

Hearing them saying how he defeated that person, Armin raised an eyebrow at that.

"What? it really wasn't that tough of a duel." He then looked back at where the direction on where the stranger went and sighed "Although i do feel bad that i had to go all out on that turn."

Armin then looked back at the twins and asked in a calm manner "Is he a friend of yours?"

"in order to retrieve it from him and quarantine it before it gets out of hand."

"because if it gets out of hand...many many bad things will happen."

"and we need to stop those bad things from happening...but at any rate looks like you were unscathed...i wonder if he was trying to hold back or not..."

Xavier trails off...becoming instantly lost in thought...

As the duel ends, Argentum dramatically gets hit by the last blow to try to make the boy laugh. He was liking him. He gets up. "Heh. See? You're a great duelist. So, what do you want to do now?"

[Kiernan]

Danny smiles slightly at Argentum's overreaction to the final blow.

"I'm not good. I just got lucky is all," Danny says, rubbing his arm self-consciously again.

"I guess I'd like to maybe watch other people duel?"

He is starting to get over his initial fear of Argentum. He's just a normal guy after all, right?

[Nosferatu Alucard]

"Watch duels, hmm?" Argentum takes out his hat and crouches. "There. Get on my shoulders, you can see all the duels from there."

[Rea]

with that being said the twins run off to the room entrance, in order to cut off auron before he can get away.

Tragon stood the punch line, watching all of the teachers, students, and other people dance, chat, and duel. The blonde stood about 10 feet away from where Argentum and Jack were dueling, watching and enjoying the fact that the man who doens't care about anything lost to a mere child.

He chuckled, watching the man who doesn't care about other people give the 12 year old a piggyback ride. Unable to stopping himself from laughing, he began to walk towards an exit, but stop just short from stepping outside into the dark heavy rain. "Well, that's unfortunate." He told himself.

He chuckled, watching the man who doesn't care about other people give the 12 year old a piggyback ride. Unable to stopping himself from laughing, he began to walk towards an exit, but stop just short from stepping outside into the dark heavy rain. "Well, that's unfortunate." He told himself.

as tragon is stopped from leaving by the heavy rain, he hears an all too familiar pair of voices behind him

"well then, you seemed to have had an interesting duel with Sir Donkey of Kong, didnt you?"

"the look on your face when that Colossal Warrior came back after you destroyed it with excalibur was PRICELESS"

"not gonna lie dude, i thought you were gonna destroy him. you seemed to have him on the ropes for the most part."

the twins approached, obviously looking to try and...converse with tragon.

Tragon sighed, knowing that they had what he wanted. "Alright, what is that card exactly?" He asked Xavier, looking at both of them back in forth to try to make sure this wasn't some ploy. As DK said, they two are in and out of this world, they could use something he couldn't understand upon him.

"this. this is a little something called a "Number Card""

"they are unique little things, on their own, they're powerless...but when they find a host...they amplify the host's inner darkness and inner desires. if someone with a number wants something...they will relentlessly pursue it."

"as the "darkness" part suggests...whether the host/owner has good or bad intentions...the number twists their desires...and their mind and eventually overwhelm their mind with its sheer power...and it takes control of them."

"you may wonder why were telling you all of this when the word-bearer chose not too...but there is someone else of interest you should take note of..."

Twin Xavi gestures through to crowd, pointing tragon at sakura.

Tragon looked back, seeing the red head that the twins were looking at. "Ok, and your point is?" He asked them, wondering on how she is related to all of this.

"really buddy, we just mentioned numbers and a "person of interest"-"

She stops herself...and tries to calm herself

"ok...what we are saying is this: the girl holds a number, and she seems to hold some sort of psychic power...a Psychic duelist i think they're called."

"she may look normal now...but how long before the number starts taking a hold of her mind, hmm?"

"it doesnt take a math genius to figure out that a power as evil as a number...with a psychic duelist as a host...could cause immeasurable destruction."

"did one of us give her the number? Possibly."

"did she find it on her own somehow? Also Possibly."

"the point being the girl is a danger. she is a danger to the world around her...and is even more of a danger to herself."

"now when or if the number does take over...what are you going to do? do you think you have the power to take on a number card?"

"or will you try to act preemptively, and exterminate the girl and her number? even though in your current state...you dont have the ability to take numbers..."

"and you might be still wondering the purpose of this...its simple. as the word bearer says, we desire only chaos...but do we act of our own influence or the numbers?"

"do we really want to destroy worlds...or do we want too save them? could our own hearts be twisted by the numbers we possess? its entirely possible."

"are we tired of spreading chaos wherever we go? that is also entirely possible."

"all that matters is...how are YOU going to take on the things that threaten your home? will you exterminate without mercy? or do you believe people can change?"



leaving that cryptic question in the air, the twins vanish into the crowd, tragon will be able to see them re-appear near a different exit hallway, they quickly vanish down the hall as if chasing after something important.

[Akaneia]

Tragon chuckled as the twins left, left pondering about the ideas that they have said. "A girl who holds a number card, yet duels with their mind. She looks fine, no concern to think about. But to amplify their darkness and desires. But what if her desires were for good and she had no darkness within her? This is quite a problem." He thought to himself, staying by the entrance as he looks at the party behind him. "What a strange duo."
