City of Dreams, City of Puppets Part 2: Dream Ripples

Everyone became acquainted with Dreamland Academy
The mysterious twins appeared.
Sakura now holds number 56: gold rat.
Tragon has become one of the only people to know the secret of the twins' existence.
Argentum found and accidentally released the infernal flame emperor...and began researching into the Ancient Records of the Era Long Past.

Now it is the day after the party:
Argentum did not find much in his late night search, only slight mention of ancient ruins of a tunnel system underneath Neo Dreamland, with mentions of their epicenter holding an ancient stone tablet rumored to hold the secrets of an ancient past.

after his encounter with the flame emperor, the temperature in neo dreamland has began to rise considerably and is currently at a monster 101 Silent Honors Ark Knight Degrees Fahrenheit.

and rumors of paranormal activity in the town have begun to spread...but little proof has been found to prove the claims.

and as the final note: the dreamland academy is set to host a mini-tourny for its students in 4 days. therefore students are being granted the last 2 days before the tourny off in order to prepare.

with all that being said...
everyone has just been released from their classes into the horrific heat...now begin.

During the end of the party, Tragon left the Academy satisfied with the entire event. He met some interesting people, learned new things, and watched his teachers and fellow students dueled. Upon arrival towards his home, he quickly threw off his costume and contacts, crashing in bed for the night.

When Tragon awoke, he slightly overslept. The blonde left his home in most looser and lightly coloured clothes, feeling the heat penetrating his home and practically cooked him. He decided to roam the city, stopping at the 'Royal Magical Library'. Initially thinking about getting some students to eat ice cream after a little study group in the library, where he'd assume it would be cooler.

The blonde was in the midst of walking towards the library, trying to get the heat off of him, sweating down at his floral collared t-shirt.  

Tragon is greeted by the sight of the male twin xavier charging in his direction at rapid speed, before running into him and falling over

"ow what just. what did i ram into"

he looks up to see tragon

"oh, its you...dang dude, nice shirt! ...blah, im getting distracted"

he stands up

"Oomph! Watch where you're going!" Tragon exclaimed, falling down upon the ground.

As Xavier stood up and took a step back, Tragon did the same, brushing off the dirt and debris that could have possibly gotten on him as he replies to Xavier's story. "I don't think you or your sister had that power in the first place, nor did DK. This isn't thunder."

He listens to what Xavier says about going to the Watt Power Plant. "I'll tag along man, I don't have anything better to do. I'm also in too deep now, it'd be a waste to not use this information. Go lead the way, I'll follow and got your back." Tragon followed Xavier, with a determined look on his face.

Jack thinks it's just the sun that was driving him mad, he decides to look about. He walks more through the what feels like, endless city.
Ah! What is this? It's a library he hasn't seen before. He goes in the library and...huh. It looks quite normal. It still has a strange aura in it. He looks around for more information.

[Nosferatu Alucard]

Argentum stretches his arm trying to interrupt Ruby's fall.

Result: He got to stop the pain she would probably feel, but she still fell down on top of him, their eyes only some centimeters away.

"A-are you ok?"

[Rea]

"Oomph! Watch where you're going!" Tragon exclaimed, falling down upon the ground.

As Xavier stood up and took a step back, Tragon did the same, brushing off the dirt and debris that could have possibly gotten on him as he replies to Xavier's story. "I don't think you or your sister had that power in the first place, nor did DK. This isn't thunder."

He listens to what Xavier says about going to the Watt Power Plant. "I'll tag along man, I don't have anything better to do. I'm also in too deep now, it'd be a waste to not use this information. Go lead the way, I'll follow and got your back." Tragon followed Xavier, with a determined look on his face.

the Xavier and Tragon eventually manage to make it to the power plant

(timeskip to the power plant because im lazy, yaaaay)

"ok then...now lets see what the heck is causing this outage..."

he kicks down the door, and immediately regrets it.

he nearly falls down with how fast hes trying to run backwards away from the door.

"OH SWEET JEEBUS!!! Nope! NopeNopeNopeNopeNopeNope! NOOOOOOOPE!"

when tragon looks into the room beyond the door...he is greeted with what could possibly be a horrifying sight:

Rats.

Lots of 'em. Black, Red-eyed rats.

chewing through wires, chewing through...well everything.

The heat being unbearable as hell itself, Sakura is resting on the shade of the tree outside the school, she didn’t feel like doing anything lately and was contemplating on the events that happened on the party. The duel Armin had, the number cards and the twins that is something that she can’t let go even if she even tried. Even last night she still had that same nightmare as before of the voice calling out to her in the dark.

“Why does this dream happen?” She then took out her number card Gold Rat and stared at it intently. “Is this really the key?”

Placing it back in her deck box she calmly got back and decided to investigate more about this and for that she needed something to start with. With that said she decided she will start with the library hopefully there can be something that can help find the answers.



At the rooftop Armin is looking over the school grounds, everything that has happened yesterday still left him wonder about everything about the case. Is Duel Monsters really the main cause of all this? The question kept him going without an answer. He then remembers the day he encountered that detective. He didn’t know why but perhaps he does need some advice over the matter so with that in mind he took out the business card given to him and he tries to contact with Detective Dee Gums.

Jack couldn't be bothered with the library anymore and exits the building to learn that there has been a power outage.
"This is strange, there hasn't been a power outage ever since I moved here..something must be up."
Jack then walks to the power plant, unknowingly, there are people already there.

Tragon held a look of pure terror on his face as he noticed the legions of black rats eating away at the wires. "H-hey ... Xavier ... do you think we could call up your thunder loving friend?" He asked him shakingly, running behind the male twin, unsure on how such a large army of rats got into the Watt Powerplant.

by a stray freakin rat.

1 rat then become 2, then 2 became 4 and etcetera until theres just an army of friggin beady-eyed rats staring at jack.

they obviously dont plan to let him pass.

He flipped back before blushing again. "Ah, my name's Argentum."

Argentum holds himself a bit before answering. "I'm wanting to find something about the Ancient Records, that supposedly are inside some sort of ancient ruins of a tunnel system underneath Neo Dreamland."

IT was an odd figure, with a very long gray tattered cloak that looks like it was mainly comprised of rags sewn together, and instead of normal human hands it had...5...rat claws...on each "hand" limb thing.

the rest of its body was not even visible under the tattered cloak

"now would you be so kind as to go the hell away? unless you think you can actually stop my genius plan to let this town roast."

Xavier's reaction didn't do much to help him despair surrounded the two, or that's what Tragon thought. The blonde managed to take a step forward, before his legs froze in his dread.

"I-I ... will take you on ... foul demon!" He managed to muster, staring back at the tattered cloaked creature.

"I see, I think I saw something about that in the book I checked out from the library yesterday, it's in my bag." Ruby told him and moves to the table were her bag is.

Tragon stared back at the Rat Man, his legs shaking uncontrollably as fear began to eat away at his psyche as he stared back the creature. Xavier's reaction didn't do much to help him despair surrounded the two, or that's what Tragon thought. The blonde managed to take a step forward, before his legs froze in his dread.

"I-I ... will take you on ... foul demon!" He managed to muster, staring back at the tattered cloaked creature.

"Heh heh heh...very well then. let us begin."

ultimately noble knight drystan slowly punched through kings wall of dustons

(where the fuck was my fucking starduston. how do i maindeck 3 but not draw into fucking any of them)

"NO! MY BEAUTIFUL DUST!"

upon hearing their kings shout, all the rats instantly stop what their doing.

...and then they all immediately pour out the door and any exit they can find, taking their king with them.

"i'll get you for this! mark my words i WILL be back!! your families will suffer!!!"

and in another area there was a Xavi, without her brother around, sorting through books and occassionally casting rather disgusted glances in Argentum and Rubys general direction.

A sound of a roaring engine can be heard from the distance like that of a wild animal. Through the ripples caused by the unbearable heat, one could spot a lone rider wearing a tattered brown overcoat and white helmet rushed towards the school on his motorbike.

The lone rider didn't slow down as he rushed towards the Dreamnland Academy at dangerous speeds. As he got closer he suddenly lifted his motorbike in a wheelie and sped up instantly, conveniently using a road bumper to make a jump and vault over the school gates. He landed skillfull with a loud bump on the ground then masterfully skid to the side to come to a screeching halt right infront of the school building.

The lone rider took off his standard issue Neo Dreamland Security standard issue helmet and looked at the roof of the academia where Armin was.
"Sorry I'm late pal!" shouted an excited Detective Dee Gums. "Something's going down in town. Something big! I saw your pretty friend head into the library tooo. Now why don't you come down here and tell me what's what before the unbearable heat turns me into a hot potato."

Zach began looking around the library trying to find who cut the wire but he wasn't able to find anybody in the library besides himself. Zach then heard two voices in the library and realized he wasn't alone. One of the voices sounded familiar and that was Argentum and another voice which sounded female who Zach had not met yet. "Maybe they have something to do with this...." Zach started moving near the voices but keeping a distance so they wouldn't know he was there. "I wonder where they are going" Zach said with a curious tone.

Zach continued looking for books to help improve his dueling. Zach decided the best way to prepare himself was going to one of the tables are practicing the combos. "I wonder if I will be ready, time to practice"

Zach's area of the library is completely deserted, not a soul to be seen. seems the computers and simulators are offline...but oddly enough it looks like they arent offline due to the blackout...but moreso to the fact that the main power wires look like they have been cut...or chewed through by...something...

Zach knows he needs to find the culprits...and fast, before they can cause even more damage.
