Arena Section: Eternal Forest

A dark forest filled with dangers, snares, and wild beasts nestled between the Lily Swamp, Azure Mountain, Scarred Desert and Abandoned City.

Beast-, Beast Warrior-, Insect-, Plant-, and Pyro-type monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF while dueling here, while Fiend-type lose 500 ATK and DEF.

[Rea]

As Xavi is released into the forest, he thinks to himself, "what an unusual fellow that Beelzecath person was, definitely different from the others ive seen. its just as well, more variety means more fun♪!" and more lives to take and blood to shed, Hee Hee♪ a darker part of his mind adds to that thought, Before he sets off into the wilderness.

"I'd better steer clear of that yucky swamp though, so many angry things could be lurking..."

[Oriana]

(I immediately love Xavi lol) Shirou was released near the dessert. He examined his surroundings and began deciding a plan of action. He thought he would fare better in an alliance, so began to explore the forest, curious if anyone was released nearby

[Rea]

as Xavi goes through the forest, looking for a tree branch or a stick, or a particularly shiny stone to claim as his own, He hears the announcement of the first tribute slain. "Oooooh, blood has already been shed, judging by the tone; it must have been Brutal♪. I love brutal deaths♪ so much pain and suffering to be had♪ its makes my heart of coal feel warm and fuzzy♪"

[Derpy]

Ia had ran like hell to get away from the starting point of the Games. Her odd coloured eyes scanned the area looking for a place to stay and to catch her breath. The forest would be the best for her to stay concealed until it was time to fight the other contestants. A dead tree caught her eyes and she, as quietly as possible, slinked into the carcass of the once mighty tree. A piece of the innards was still connected to the bark that offered her a seat. Sitting carefully so that it wouldn't snap and let the others know of her location. 

"Okay, okay Ia. You made it to the forest and are hiding in a tree." She silently spoke to herself. "First, food, second, hide out, three, plans to corner the other tributes." 

Black and white eye blinked a few times as her pointed ears, clearly from a birth defect, caught sounds of nature. She started to question herself why she offered herself to fight. Again, her friend who was deaf and mute was chosen and she would have been killed instantly. Ia loved her friend dearly and that's why she volunteered. She told herself that she had to win. She had to. As long as she was able to win the Games, she could again save her dear friend.

Ten minutes passed and it was time to find food. Although from the Technology District, she did remember what kinds of berries and plants that could aid her in survival. As quietly as she could, she scouted the woods looking for day one's meal.

[Oriana]

Shirou soon found Xavi, and recognized him as a worthy ally. he approach Xavi cautiously though, in case he was not seen in the same way.

[Rea]

as Xavi wandered through the forest, he felt like someone was approaching, he noticed another tribute out of the corner of his eye

Hmmm? who is this approaching me? this one looks like he or she would be fun to slaughter♪

your not observant enough! that's Shirou Ozpin, Lightsworn Wielder. He is not to be trifled with you fool.

a different voice snapped inside his head.

Oh? I almost forgot about you, you've been quiet for some time, I was almost starting to miss you♪

Don't get used to it, you have many things, but wits is not one of them. I'M just making sure WE don't get killed. and rushing headfirst into a fight, heck i'd need to chime in at SOME point to make sure YOU don't slaughter everyone.

awwww, but that's no fun! whats the point of us being here if were not going to slaughter everyone?

well for starters its called strategy and caution, not needlessly destroying a nest of vicious Eagles-

oh come on, that was one time...you just don't want to admit you thought it was fun...

because I don't think mindless slaughter and throwing my life on the unnecessarily is fun.

Just listen, its simple: we let Mr Ozpin over there tag along with us for the time being, and when the opposition gets too stiff, we use him as a shield for our getaway, alright?

the debate between the two different thoughts over, Xavi waits for the other tribute to approach before making a move.

[Oriana]

Ozpin was soon 10 feet away from him. He noticed something strange about Xavi, although he didn't know what was going on. He could use this to his advantage, if things started to get too dicey, and the alliance would need to be abandoned.

"Xavi, am I correct?"

[Rea]

Xavi sees Mr Ozpin approaching closer, when ozpin asks him his name...

"Hiiii! that's me! I'm Xavi, the Gladiator Beast guy, lover of bloodshed♪ how can I help you♪?"

...you tried too hard to control yourself on that...

oh you...just be quiet!

[Oriana]

"Since we have mutual interests, I wish to purpose a possible alliance"

[Rea]

"i dunno, let me think."

He responds

...your kidding right?

what? you just said we could ally with him, you didn't say I could mess with his head a little♪

after a few seconds...

"ok Mr. Ozpin, I don't see any harm in an alliance, it should be fun♪"

[Oriana]

"excellent. This should be fun" he grins

[Rea]

"oooh, this we be loads of fun♪ so much blood to be shed♪"

if we keep this alliance for more than a day, I will be completely surprised...

what? are you saying no one likes me?

no, I was referring more to the fact your probably going to try and murder him in his sleep...

oh come on! I would never think of doing such an act♪

"well what're we waiting for? lets go♪"

ozpin nodded "Right. We should start by create a base of operations, of sorts. Somewhere where we can hold out and store supplies"

[Rea]

"ok how about...we find a cave...or we find a reeealllyyyy big hollow tree? or...I don't know about a third thing..."

[Oriana]

Ozpin raised an eyebrow, then chuckled "well, we should find somewhere that will be close to an area that benefits both of our decks"

[Rea]

"well, if that's the case, you have what...lightsworns? they have dragons, warriors, spellcasters, a couple beasts... if I theorize right, a base closer to the genesis meadows would probably be ideal."

[Oriana]

"excellent. lets get moving"

[Rea]

as they set off towards the meadows...

somethings making you uneasy, I can tell, and its bugging me.

I can feel...it...like theres some sort of secret gone unfound, I don't like it.

that's it? you had me worried over nothing♪

two things; 1. you know in these games no stone can be left unturned, no secret can be left undiscovered. 2. since when did you ever worry about me?

hey, I have my own feelings too you know, I don't JUST feel whatever your feeling. you've been getting really fidgety and anxious since these games started...and I have to be careful how I act. you know the wrong mix of 2 emotions will turn us into a ticking timebomb of insanity.

"How shall we go about eliminating the others?"

[Rea]

oh boy, this guy has no idea what hes unleashing...

"well, there are many brutal, horrendous ways we could go about it... we can lure them into traps, maybe break their limbs and watch them suffer slowly, cut someone in their sleep and watch them bleed out... so many options♪

Expected that of you, except the limb breaking, that one is new for you.

what? we gotta be original after all♪

"But I thought it would be much more fun to watch the others tear themselves apart, and then we clean up the weakened survivors. such a delightfully twisted scheme♪"

"Sounds like a plan"

Ozpin found the mans taste for blood interesting, if anything

Xavi left them in silence afterwards, silent walking...
