"Will I be able to live alone or will I need a guardian with me, being 17 years old." He asks unsure whether or not his parents will be willing to leave his hometown, they have lived there their whole lives and he didn't want to force them to leave it all behind.

Regina led Zero inside the office building and up to the third floor, pointing out Mr. Lott's office and the meeting room along the way. Finally she came to a door at the end of the hall marked "Guest" and opened it slowly.

"Here we are. I hope the accommodations are suitable."

The room was a studio apartment by comparison. A large open floor plan with a full-sized bed, couch and 36" plasma TV mounted to the wall, a kitchen with an island and a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry...packed with ALL of Zero's favourite foods.

When Zero was led into the room, their eyes lit up. "This is much better than the hotel I was staying in!" They dropped their belongings by the door and ran around the apartment checking everything out.

Zero first checked the T.V. then the couch by flopping back on it. An ecstatic look was on their face before they flailed and got up and ran to the kitchen. As far as the woman could tell, Zero was whispering sweet nothings to the food that was stocked, in Japanese. And finally Zero went to the bed and examined it by sitting on the edge. They then flopped back and smiled.

"Okay, this is pretty awesome! So, are you staying in here or is this just my place?"

"Well they can move as well if they wish. Though, from the conversation I had with them earlier this week, I don't think that's a real concern."

[Khina Bree]

"This room," Regina explained, "is for you. Unless you wish for me to stay with you, in which case, Mister Lott has had a week's worth of my outfits delivered here."

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

"Well they can move as well if they wish. Though, from the conversation I had with them earlier this week, I don't think that's a real concern."

"Hmmm, so you've spoken to my parents already." The teenager sighs. "Knowing my parents this is already decided, so I accept the posisiton in Calibur Pharmaceuticals. But may I ask you one more question?"

[Khina Bree]

"Fire away," he responds with an eager smile.

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

"I'm curious about the hidden potential in humans. If you know, could you please tell me in more detail." He said looking at Victor Grey straight in the eyes.

[Derpy]

"This room," Regina explained, "is for you. Unless you wish for me to stay with you, in which case, Mister Lott has had a week's worth of my outfits delivered here."

"I can be on my own. I'm thirteen. Almost an adult!" They took pride in their age. "I'll be fine on my own. And it's very late. So, see you in the morning?"

"Fair question," he adjusts himself and clears his throat, "have you ever heard that humans can only access ten percent of their brain? Imagine what humans could be capable of if we could access fifteen, twenty, even thirty percent of it. Telekinesis, levitation, rapid metabolic healing, the works.

"The human potential...is the key to our evolution."

[Khina Bree]

"Very well. Sleep well. The alarm beside the bed is preset for seven thirty, so you'd best get to bed. Good night."

And after the door closed, Zero was on her own.

The teen's eyes narrow, giving a darker expression to his face. "Mr. Grey, what's the real reason you want me to work for you." He says preparing to begin a fight with the man.

"Smarter than I gave you credit for," he stood up again, "We know what you can do Micheal. Luckily, you're not among the dangerous variety and as such, we're willing to make you a deal."

As Victor speaks, a woman appears out of thin air beside him. She too is wearing a business suit and her hair short, layered and highlighted blonde. She had piercing green eyes that would freeze a man in his tracks with the right glance.

"We strive to both advance humanity and protect it from dangerous individuals with power abilities, far more powerful and deadly than your metal-manipulation. My associate here, miss Piers, took us up on the same offer I'm going to give you now."

Victor adjusted his tie, "We have a policy for detaining the dangerous ones with abilities: One of us, one of them. One average person who works for me and Calibur, and one gifted individual. If you accept my offer, you'll be recruited as a field agent, helping us track, monitor and even apprehend people with abilities who may be a danger to themselves and to those around them. What do you say?"

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

The teenager thinks for a moment. "So, I will be sent to stop dangerous people like me, in order to protect ordinary people?" He gives a quick smile thinking how this has been the opportunity to help others he has been looking for.

"In a manner of speaking," the woman answers in a cool, and strangely alluring voice, "best damn choice I ever made."

[Derpy]

Once the woman disappeared from the room, Zero locked the door and then started to strip from their day clothing. Their shoes were kicked off, hoodie taken off with care and placed on the couch. The black muscle shirt beneath it was taken off then the khaki shorts. Finally, Zero was in their character print boxers. They happily climbed into bed and drifted off to dream land.

As seven thirty roll around, Zero had managed to to to lay sideways in bed with the blanket half on them. When the alarm went off, Zero shot up in bed and yelled at it in Japanese. Only four hours of sleep was had. Zero turned off the alarm and proceeded to get a shower and get dressed. Their morning consisted of their favourite Pop-Tarts and early morning cartoons. They awaited to see if the woman would come back to collect them.

The teenager seemed be persuaded by his own sense of justice and the green-eyed woman. "I'll join your company, in order to save innocent people from harm."

Victor extended his hand, "Welcome to Calibur."

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

Mike accepts Mr.Grey's handshake. "Thank you for having me sir. So when do I leave this place?"

[Khina Bree]

"Hop in the car," he motioned to the rental parked at the curb, "We've already arranged things with your family, so they believe that you've been accepted to a private school in Texas."

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

The teenager nods his head and walks towards the vehicle.This is the beginning of my new life.

Zach falls to the floor fearing it is somebody else that wants him.

Zach shouts"What do you people want with me what have i ever done to you wait are you here to help me".

"Stay behind me Zach. I'll dispatch of these corporate clowns."

Goon 1: "Clowns!? Do you know who you're dealing with?"

Goon 2: "Easy partner, take a good look at this guy. He's the guy from the memos."

The first goon looks him over again, "Oh yeah you're right! What was it again? Orion? Orion...Kane?"


"My name...is Fission," he replies with a swift twirling flourish of his staff, slamming the end into the second goon which in turn, releases a burst of white light and sends the man flying into a dumpster.

Zach is amazed by Fissions's fighting style

Zach asks amazed "Where did you get to fight like that oh and thank you again for saving me fella i owe you one but might i ask why exactly you saved me?"

The man calling himself Fission elegantly spun around, colliding the broad side of his quarterstaff into the chest of the other guard. Both of whom were now unconscious. Fission remained defensive for a few more seconds and then returned to a full standing position, slinging the metal rod onto his back again.


"You're lucky, Zach. Normally they resort to stun guns or knock-out darts when hunting down Gifted.

"Well i guess its a good thing they didn't then and wait what do you mean by gifted wait are you just like me?" says zach

Zach has many questions about his gift like if there are others like him and why does he have it.

"Only way that these goons would chase you. They work for a shady business called Calibur. Apparently they've been at it for years now."

"Ive never had a idea so wait there goal is to catch people that are different or something like that." says Zach

Zach becomes angry just thinking about all the people that have been hurt by this organization.

"Is there anything i can do to help anything at all."
