As Zero walked through the airport terminal, a young woman in a buisness suit was seen standing in the large thoroughfare, holding a paper sign that read: "Zero Ito."

With another loud yawn, Zero rubbed their eyes trying to wipe the sleep out of them. When their vision came back into focus, their green eyes scanned over a paper that had their name on it. Zero was their adopted name while being over in the states. They didn't want to really be known but someone did know their last name.

Zero walked over to the young woman who was dressed up all professional. "And, how can I help you?" They shifted their weight onto one foot.

"You must be Zero," she replies, "My name is Regina. I've been sent to pick you up and escort you to your hotel for the evening."

"I am Zero. I didn't know someone was sent to escort me." Zero looked at Regina skeptically. "Who are you and who are you with? Who sent you?" They stood their ground. A red flag was signalling in their head.

"Easy now," the suited woman held her hands up defensively, "My employer has no issue with giving you information."

She reaches into her breast pocket and produces a business card, "I work for him."

The card reads: "Siegfried E. Lott - Private Investigator"

"A P.I." Zero looked at the woman quizzically. "Why is a private investigator want with me? I'm just a kid."

"I'm just his assistant kid," the woman sighs, "All I was told was 'go to the airport and pick up a child named Zero Ito. Bring them here.' If I knew more, I would tell you."

Zero still looked at the woman wearily. Something just wasn't right with them. With a sigh, Zero fixed the strap that was on their bag so it was more comfortable on their shoulder. "All right. All right. I'll go. But! If something bad starts happening. I can't guarantee anyone's safety. Kapeesh?"

The well-dressed assistant raised an eyebrow with a smirk, "Fine. Just follow me to the car please."

Not really wanting to, Zero followed the woman to the car that she was leading to. Once to the car, Zero loaded their luggage into the trunk of the car and then climbed in on the drivers side, in the back seat. Zero kept out their iPod so that they could review fighting moves in case the situation went south.

Regina sat in the rear seat beside Zero and told the driver to head back to Mr Lott's office.

The city streets were quiet at 3:30 am. No one in their right mind was up at this hour. Regina had pulled a thin laptop from the pocket on the back of the seat and was doing something that required quite a bit of typing. In the midst of her typing, her cell began to play a classical music tone. Fur Elise. The assistant reached into her breast pocket and pulled out her smart phone and answered.

"Yes mister Lott? ... Correct, I have the child. ... Of course sir. ... Yes sir, I will."

She clicked the End Call button, sighed and went back to her typing.

"So, do you have any idea what. . . . your boss wants with me? Seeing how you're an assistant, you know more than what you're leading on. You see, I'm Japanese and I'm incredibly smart. So. Care to tell me any information that would be vital to my survival?" Zero's green eyes peered over to the woman.

"I know this much," she turns her head to look at Zero, "he wants you alive. You have no reason to fear being in danger. Mister Lott is looking for you to help him with a pertinent investigation he has been working on for a few years now."

She rotates the laptop for Zero to see. On the screen is a picture of a man in a business suit with short, militaristic hair, and thin framed glasses climbing out of a car. Behind the car is a large building with a large sign on the upper left corner. The sign looks like a prescription pill on its side with a sword stabbed down into it that read "Calibur."

"This man. Mister Lott has been trying to take him down, along with his entire corporation. Mister Lott believes that Mister Grey here," she taps the picture, "is heading an illegal slave ring and using his pharmaceutical company as a front."

[Derpy]

"I see." Zero droned out. "So he needs me alive. Well, I will take that as a very good thing. But is it because of my ability that he needs me? My ability isn't really anything that's special. I use to get gain a quick buck. You know like street performers and circus people. I just like to wow and amaze people in hopes of getting money. Speaking of, your boss. Is he going to pay me for my time or is it, he just wants to meet me and then I'm back out in the world?"

Regina doesn't seem moved by the young one's words, "Be that as it may, Mr Lott believes your capabilities to be of great value to him in his endeavors," she closes the laptop, "and I agree. Reactive muscle memory is phenomenal when used right."

[Derpy]

"So that's the scientific term for it. I just called it 'Jack Of All Trades'. You know, because anything I see, I can do." Zero smiled, "It really makes the song, 'Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better' a true statement." They then started to laugh.

"Except that you can't actually do it 'better.' But the exact same."

[Derpy]

"Aw, you had to crush my dreams, didn't you?" Zero crossed their arms over their chest. "Yeah, yeah, just the same. No less, no better."

[Arc V Yuto]

As the plane descends to the east coast Zach thinks to himself about what he is doing to do once the plane lands and will he find the people he is looking for.

Plane Attendant: The aircraft heading for the east coast will be landing in approximately 10 minutes please fasten your seat belts.

The plane lands and Zach gets off and walks out of the airport and admires the view.

Zach: This is beautiful compared to the slums lets see what was the mission oh yes i need to find others like me i since there are more out there just like me.

Zach starts to walk but is stopped by 2 mysterious figures.

Figure 2: Yea your coming with us we know somebody whos been looking for you.

"Aw, you had to crush my dreams, didn't you?" Zero crossed their arms over their chest. "Yeah, yeah, just the same. No less, no better."

"Precisely, but you're capable of many great things. I'm sure the meeting with mister Lott will explain all that better."

Zach is in shock he doesn't know what to say he was asked to follow people doesn't know to somebody he has never met.

Guard 1: Look kid are we going to have to do this the easy way or the hard way.

Zach: Well im pretty sure i know what you mean by the easy way but what do you mean by the hard way.

Guard 2: One way or another you are coming with us.

Zach wonders how he will get out of the situation he is in when all of a sudden Zach sees a opening to flee as Zach is running and the guards are in close pursuit

The next few days would prove uneventful. Then the appointed day came. The eighth. The day of the interview. At nine o'clock AM, the young teen's home phone began to ring.

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

Awaiting this phone call for days. Making sure to home and up early for this day, the teenager answers the phone by the second ring.

[Derpy]

"Oh really. Well, I will have to hear for myself whatever it is that he needs to talk to me about." Zero bunched their knees up to their chest and rested their chin on their slender patellas.

"Well, luckily for you he will wait until morning to speak with you."

The car pulled into an alley next to a corner building

"Here we are."

Awaiting this phone call for days. Making sure to home and up early for this day, the teenager answers the phone by the second ring.

"Hello. I'm trying to reach Micheal. Is he available?" spoke the melodious man's voice on the other end of the line.

[Lelouch Lamperouge]

"This is Michael speaking. May I ask who is calling?" Mikey says already knowing the answer to his question.

"Of course, how rude of me. My name is Victor Grey, Human Resource manager at Calibur Pharmaceuticals headquarters in Odessa Texas. I'm currently in a cab on my way to your home address. I thought it best to call ahead."
