Heyo dear readers, i'm here today to talk about a archetype that is quite powerful and versatile, i'm going to talk about the Ultra Athletes!

Overall

    The "U.A." archetype, short for "Ultra Athletes", is a TCG exclusive archetype that debuted in Duelist Alliance, together with "Burning Avyss". Actually, all the members from this archetype are EARTH Warrior-Type that resemble athletes wearing cybernetic armor.
    The archetype is based on positions played in various popular team sports, with every set including monsters hailing from a different sport. The Spell and Trap Cards represent various aspects of sports, such as location (U.A. Stadium), uniforms (U.A. Powered Jersey), techniques (U.A. Turnover Tactics), team contracts (U.A. Signing Deal) or penalties (U.A. Penalty Box).

Playing Style

    All "U.A." monsters share the same effect of Special Summon themselves by returning a different "U.A." monster from the field to the hand while "U.A. Stadium" search an "U.A." monster when another one is Normal Summoned, and gives a permanent ATK boost of 500 to all your monsters when you Special Summon an "U.A." monster for the first time during any turn, once per turn.
    The basic strategy of this archetype is to Normal Summon "U.A. Midfielder" each turn while using Stadium to add "U.A." monsters to your hand. Then, summon aggressive monsters like "U.A. Mighty Slugger and "U.A. Playmaker" during your Main Phase 1. During the Battle Phase, attack with the protection that "U.A. Mighty Slugger" grants. And in your Main Phase 2, summon protective monsters like "U.A. Goalkeeper" and "U.A. Perfect Ace". If you don't have a ideal set-up, you can use some other cards, to name a few, "The Monarchs Stormforth" and "Feast of the Wild LV5".

Recommended Cards

Excluding the "U.A." cards, there are some recommended cards to use in the "U.A." deck. Cards with the HR tag are highly recommended to use.

Weaknesses

    Effects that remove the Normal Summoned monster from the field can essentially end a "U.A." player's turn, if they control no other monsters. Likewise, cards that take advantage, prohibit or punish Special Summoning can be effective, such as "Vanity's Emptiness" or "Maxx "C"".
    Destroying "U.A. Stadium" also deals a critical blow to this Deck. Cards such as "Thunder King Rai-Oh" and "Mistake" can also achieve the same goal in preventing these searches. Using "Degenerate Circuit" will prevent your opponent from Special Summoning any "U.A." monsters by their own effects, since they need to return a "U.A." monster to the hand, but cannot.

Ah, now i can make some words. First of all, i my opinion U.A. is a deck that can easly combat meta if you get a good strategy, for example, if you manage to summon Perfect Ace, you can easly get rid of your opponent Scout. If you have Blockbacker at the end of your turn and use him at the right time, your opponent will "Lose" their special summon, because it will be near completely ignored. If you considerate shaddolls, Mighty Slugger can easly get through them, since your opponent can't activate the flip effects. Dreadnought is also a good card against them since your opponent will take piercing damage. Another damage that this deck can do is the easy access to Rank 5 monsters, and consequently, Gaia Dragon. With this and more, the deck gets really versatile, making it (imo) a great rogue deck, countering lots of threats. Also U.A. is a big counter against Qliphort, because Playmaker can be equipped with Power Jersey, making him a 3600 ATK monster, more than sufficient to beat Towers.

But you're forgetting the decks major weakness and this weakness is the only reason I believe this deck doesn't consistently top any event is that this deck relies on 2 cards in order to begin any of their plays and those cards are midfielder and signing deal without them this deck is very fragile and hard to get their plays off. so essentially stopping signing deal/midfielder quickly will guarantee a win considering how fast the meta has become.

*Tsk Tsk Tsk* Non, non, non. Three nons to you. They actually ARE the 2 main cards, but who said that you can't win if you don't begin with them? Triple ROTA and triple Terraforming please, also, you can always tech some cards to help the game if you don't start with Midfielder. I already conquered many duels without the use of Stadium and Midfielder. Read the Recommended Cards again and see the ones that are marked with HR, they're the ones that help into this easy-filled weakness.

Stadium by itself without midfielder or signing deal is basically useless, and you know how rota is at 3 so is mind crush which has the potential to knock out more than one mid fielder.

I think that you're getting way too situational here. The deck can basically survive until you find out a midfielder. I think that you're also forgetting a card named "Mischief of the Gnomes", that makes Ace/Slugger level 4, making the possibility of normal summon, and if you feel insecure, use Stadium to add Midfielder.

But is the basic play of attack with slugger and then switching for ace to negate one card your opponent plays on his/her turn good enough for today's meta though? I believe it would work against satellars if they don't have a fiendish set(which good players run at 3), ba simlpy dont give a shit about one negate, qli's will usually still have plays becuase they are qlis..., and shadolls depends what variant they are running becuase i could see the ls vairant baiting out ace with a fusion then summon mathematican send what level 4 tuner that sumons itself from grave and going into michael banishing ace.

Ex: If you get to summon Perfect Ace while having a small protection like Forbidden Lance (Opponent having Fiendish Chain facedown) and your opponent plans to Summon Vega > SS Altair > SS Deneb > Add Altair, you can just Perfect Ace Vega, and the Satellarknight player's turn will be dead. If he/she Fiendish, you use Forbidden Lance, and next turn you return Ace to hand to special summon any other U.A. monster, then SS Ace with his own eff, and with that Fiendish will be only a dead card on the S/T zone, and you're ready to kill another turn.

yea U.A. have good match-up against satellars cuz they rely on their normal summons to set up most of their plays.
