Section 05 - Azure Mountain

[Khina Bree]

A lone mountain peak in the center of the Arena, said to have been the home to a mythic dragon once upon a time.

Fairy-, Thunder-, Winged Beast-, and Dragon-type gain 500 ATK and DEF while dueling here, while Zombie-types lose 500 ATK and DEF.

Azure Mountain huh? Not a good place for this game, if so, i don't think that many tributes will come here if their objective is survive, but they can also think that this is a good spot to survive, and i can't let they survive. I'll just build some traps here and go to the forest.

(Even if you could dig a single hole, using JUST stones, and then place sharpened rocks in the bottom, it would take several hours.)

Liam made his way out of the gloom-ridden bog and onto the empty spaces of the mountain's base. Azure Mountain loomed over him like the many factories back home, though this one had a much cleaner sky around it than they did.

With his spear in hand, he climbed a decent distance to a small overhang, about a half mile off the ground, and peered out into the distance. Crumbling buildings to the north were visible, but only barely for the massive amount of trees in the forest. A flash of light caught his eye, in the forest. It was only a brief second, but it was there. Had someone lost a duel already?

[The Doctor]

Jackson arrived in the Mountain. He found some sticks and stones and used some of his shirt to make a blunt spear. It wasn't that sharp, but it could pack a punch. He walks ahead to see a shadow of a man. He decides to run away in fear. He knew he couldnt get caught, and if he did, he might lose his duel. He doesnt know how good the dueler is, but he thinks he lost the dueler. "Phew, that was close......" Jackson says to himself. He runs and eats a piece of meat.

Liam's eyes continue to sweep aroud, seeking out an adversary. Hours passed and night was soon falling. Just as he was considering making a place to sleep, a figure in the distance caught his eye. A person running away from the base of the mountain. Another Tribute, he presumed. 'If they're going to run from me...then I'll not risk my safety in the dark.'

With precision, Liam scales downward again, and ducks under the outcropping. Using only his clothes on his back and his hat for comfort, he tries to get some sleep.

Morning came, rousing the engineer. He opened his eyes slowly and sighed, time to hunt down something to eat, and perhaps end his misery by finding a worthy opponent.

He carefully climbed down the mountain again, barely keeping his footing towards the beginning. Upon reaching level ground, Liam set out to find some wild game. Should another Tribute find him, he thought, then perhaps I can finally be at peace.

The day had dragged on for what seemed like an eternity, but Liam had managed to, thankfully, find a bit of wild game for food. Using his handmade spear, Liam lunged at the creature. It was a doe, hardly difficult for him, but would at least feed him for a day or two. He took some time and gathered some old sticks and dead brush with which to make a small fire near the bottom of the mountain. His spearhead was just sharp enough to cut the meat from the beast, though it took him some time to do it.

His bonfire was lit and the meat cooking. Liam knew that the smoke would be visible for miles and the aroma of the cooked meat would be alluring to others. This was his plan.

Liam sat back against the rocks, spear in hand, sticks to his side and deer steak in his other hand. "Now we wait," he said to no one.

[The Doctor]

Jackson comes to a cliff. He looks behind him to find that there is no one near him. "Phew, no one is near me....I lost that guy....time to get a new spot." Jackson runs to the right and gets to the top of a hill. He rests there and eats meat. He looks down to see the other tribute with a bonfire. He slides down to the tribute and offers his hand for a handshake. "Hello! My name is Jackson! Want to team up?" Jackson grabs a piece of meat and offers it to the man.

Liam responds with his spear, swiftly swinging it so that the head of it rests against the newcomer's throat. He holds it for a moment before pulling it away, "You should sneak up on people with weapons. Liable to wind up in pool of your own blood that way."

He ignores the extended hand and meat, choosing instead to continue on his own deer-steak, "If you're here, then you must be another Tribute."

[The Doctor]

Jackson freaks out when he sees the spear at his throat. He starts to get scared. "HOLY CRAP PLEASE DONT KILL ME I AM NOT WORTH KILLING I AM A TRIBUTE JUST DONT END MY LIFE PAINFULLY!" Jackson replies extremely fast. He doesnt dare to move with the spear aimed at his throat.

[Khina Bree]

"Lower your voice you fool," the young man says, still seated by the fire, "Do you want to attract the other Tributes who actually WILL try to kill you?"

[The Doctor]

Jackson puts his hands over his mouth and replies, "No....I want to team to end them and those....things that took the girl. So waddya say? Team?"

[Khina Bree]

"I take it you're referring to that green-suited jackass's broadcast about that Lexie girl?"

[The Doctor]

"Of course! I dont want to end up like her! I want to team with a good person who can help! You seem cool! I want to team with you so we cant lose! I hope we can come to an agreement, but now we need to focus on surviving the night and avoiding the monsters."

[Khina Bree]

"You don't even know who I am. What makes you think that I'm not going to just challenge you? Take you out and walk away without an once of remorse?"

[The Doctor]

"I know because I need help. And I dont want to fight now. It will attract attention and even worse. The ELIMINATORS. Why dont we just camp here tonight and part ways in the morning? I would rather stay with you then go alone..but its your choice. Take the risk of everything, or stay at peace."

[Khina Bree]

"Peace?" he questions, now locking eyes on Jackson, "Peace? I know not the word. Peace is a lie, a fragile falsehood created to try to control the masses and blind them from the truth," he is now towering over Jackson, "The truth that the world is an unfair and hateful place and that humans only purpose is to die."

[The Doctor]

"Oh my god....I have an idea. Lets just be quiet and stay here in silence. Nothing shall be said unless it is important. Got it? I dont want to fight and I dont want attention. I just want someone to partner with.
