Section 03 - Lily Swamp

A murky area south of the forest that is home to many a Tributes' final resting place.

Aqua- and Zombie-type monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF while dueling here while Rock-, Pyro, and Fairy-type lose 500 ATK and DEF.

Liam stood from the spawner on the ground and observed his surroundings. Damp, dark, funny smell, and dead trees. Yep, he was in the swamps all right. Glancing to his right however revealed a lone mountain in the distance, near enough to travel to on foot within a day.

'The first thing I need to do,' he thought, 'is make myself a weapon for hunting and protection.' And so, he gathered a long stick from an old oak tree, a large stone, and a few vines. Carefully and deliberately, he sharpened the stone against another rock and planned to tightly tie it to the end of his stick for a spear.

With spear in hand, Liam trudged his way through the marsh, heading west for the lone mountain. A better vantage point, he thought.

The gloom of the long forgotten bog around him was settling in, like a heaviness that sat upon his entire being but sat heaviest upon his heart. How he longed for it to rain so he might have a mask for his tears. Lily Swamps they called this place, just as his mother had been named Lilianna. 'Someone up there has a cruel sense of humor,' his thoughts were mangled with sorrow, anger and a little bit of despair. Death seemed the only thing that could finally end this meaningless cycle of tears and pain.
