The car pulled into an alley next to a corner building

"Here we are."

"Hm?" Zero looked out of the glass to the building that the Taxi driver had pulled up to. Zero rubbed the sleep from their eyes as they stretched like a child would. "So, in the morning? What time so I know when to be up and decent, cause I do just sleep in my boxers."

"Well, luckily for you he will wait until morning to speak with you."

The car pulled into an alley next to a corner building

"Here we are."

"Hm?" Zero looked out of the glass to the building that the Taxi driver had pulled up to. Zero rubbed the sleep from their eyes as they stretched like a child would. "So, in the morning? What time so I know when to be up and decent, cause I do just sleep in my boxers."

"If you'll come with me," Regina continues as she steps out of the car, "we have a guest room prepared for you. Mister Lott has a meeting planned for you tomorrow at ten AM."

Slightly uncomfortable by the man simply coming to his for the interview, the teen replies. "Uhh-Very good, thank you for calling ahead."

"Ah there's no need to thank me yet, wait until the interview is over and find out if you're hired first. Then thank me. Oh, coming up on your street now. See you shortly."

Not trusting this Victor Grey the teenager quickly runs up to his bedroom and morphed his metal bat into a thing metal vest covering his upper body under his black T-shirt and then puts on his signature red jacket covering any signs of the vest from plain view. and then quickly heads back towards his door, awaiting his visitor.

Zach is in shock he doesn't know what to say he was asked to follow people doesn't know to somebody he has never met.

Guard 1: Look kid are we going to have to do this the easy way or the hard way.

Zach: Well im pretty sure i know what you mean by the easy way but what do you mean by the hard way.

Guard 2: One way or another you are coming with us.

Zach wonders how he will get out of the situation he is in when all of a sudden Zach sees a opening to flee as Zach is running and the guards are in close pursuit

The opening leads Zach into an alleyway. The two men keep up the chase. Unfortunately, the alleyway is a dead end, stopping at a brick wall.

Just as the two men manage to close in and make their final threat, a flash of light engulfs the spot in front of them. Off-guard, the men stagger back. Now standing before Zach and the men is a man standing at nearly six and a half feet tall with ear-length blonde hair and a white jacket with frayed edges. Strapped to his back is a quarterstaff that appears to be made of steel.

"Leave the boy alone," the mysterious stranger speaks in a deep yet pleasant voice.

A few minutes later and there is a knock at the door. A quick peek outside would reveal a tall man in a suit with short, military-esqe hair.

Mike opens the door seeing a tall man who looks like he's in the military. The teenager moves out his hand to give the mysterious man at his door a handshake. "Hello, I'm Michael Myers. Nice to meet you."

"Ah, Micheal. Its a real pleasure. I'm Victor Grey, but please, just call me Victor. The weather is beautiful today if you'd prefer to hold the interview outside."

He offers a smile, that Micheal could take as devious given his level of paranoia.

Not sure whether or not to trust this man he had just meant, the teenager replies. "Yea, it would be nice to have an interview outside." He then motions the man to a empty chair on his porch. Being out in the open would be safe, in case this guy has ulterior motives

Goon 1: "Clowns!? Do you know who you're dealing with?"

Goon 2: "Easy partner, take a good look at this guy. He's the guy from the memos."

The first goon looks him over again, "Oh yeah you're right! What was it again? Orion? Orion...Kane?"


"My name...is Fission," he replies with a swift twirling flourish of his staff, slamming the end into the second goon which in turn, releases a burst of white light and sends the man flying into a dumpster.

"Wonderful, please," he motions for the boy to step outside and then takes a seat on the porch banister, "So...let me cut right to the chase here. I know that you know that you never sent us a resume or application of any sort. However, we at Calibur have been monitoring you for sometime now. You're a fantastic student and have an amazing work ethic. I'd like to offer you a position at Calibur as our chief engineer on a new project that will revolutionize mankind as we know it."

He passes over a manila folder with the label "Project Genesis" on the front.

"Everything you'll need to know about the job, and the project itself."

Michael grabs the envelope and before opening it he says. "I'm just an average guy, not sure why you guys want me." Then he continues to open the envelope reading the contents inside.

The folder's materials cover an extensive project that sounds like science fiction. A machine that can unlock humanity's "hidden potential" by utilizing the medical research that Calibur has already been striving towards in the last few years.

The black haired teenager's eye widen as alot of the information in the envelope talks about things related to him. He tries to regain his composure "So...what exactly would my job be, sir?"

The man smirks slightly, "Well, with your master craftsmanship and talents in engineering as a mechanic, you'd be leading our team on construction. Unless you'd prefer to be a test subject," he chuckles, "I'm joking of course."

Mike is suddenly frighten that the man may know about his secret power. "So, what happens to test subjects?" He asks out of fear for his own safety.

"Pardon? Oh Micheal, that was just a joke. You seemed tense, so I tried to lighten the mood a little," he pats the boy's shoulder, "Sorry if I scared you any."

Zero climbed out of the car and finished stretching with a yawn that made them look adorable. They went to the trunk of the car and grabbed their belongings and started to follow the woman. Still everything was throwing a red flag. Zero had to stay alert.

He lets out a nervous chuckle. He clears his throat to calm himself down. "Well I don't you gives have an office here where I can work, will I have to move? What about the rest of the school year?"

Regina led Zero inside the office building and up to the third floor, pointing out Mr. Lott's office and the meeting room along the way. Finally she came to a door at the end of the hall marked "Guest" and opened it slowly.

"Here we are. I hope the accommodations are suitable."

The room was a studio apartment by comparison. A large open floor plan with a full-sized bed, couch and 36" plasma TV mounted to the wall, a kitchen with an island and a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry...packed with ALL of Zero's favourite foods.

He lets out a nervous chuckle. He clears his throat to calm himself down. "Well I doubt you guys have an office here where I can work, will I have to move? What about the rest of the school year?"

"If you accept this job offer, we'll work with your school. Odessa has an excellent curriculum and we have a certified staff for our undergraduate employees."

Mike finds this hard to believe, this whole situation seems to good to be true. "So what about my living situation?"

"Calibur has an apartment complex just down the road from the main office building. Room and board is included in your annual salary, if you request a room."
