So I have a regionals on the 20th and I'm set on playing Racoons in some capacity, but I feel like pure is too weak due to it being able to do almost nothing if I don't open Obedience Schooled, so I've played around a bit and decided I'm either running this or my original idea Wind-Up Raccoons. I feel like if I keep going I'll come up with like 50 pointless decks and will end up with a bad one for regionals as I won't have the time to get the cards. I'm mostly looking for suggestions for this, as opposed to showing off the deck I just want to make sure I have the best built deck for regionals regardless of how I do at it.
After seeing YCS Liverpool I realised how strong of a card Ally of Justice Cycle Reader is against ABCs. Obviously this card works really well with Gear Gigant X as it is searchable. I decided that the best way to do this was to run Geargiauger and Machine Duplication allowing me to summon 2 in 1 turn giving me not only 2 2300 attack monster, but a Cycle Reader and another machine type monster. Geargiauger is also decent on its own as it lets me summon the 1 Gigant getting me Cylce Reader. I was running this in a Geargia deck, but I felt like the rest of the deck was too weak.
After this I decided I needed an extra target for Machine Dupe. I chose Crytstron Citree because it lets me summon a Toadally awesome and it has synergy with the level 2 part of the deck.
The Raccoons themselves are decent against ABCs. Opening a Naturia Beast and at least one backrow means that I'll at least have 1 turn to do more stuff if they don't have a Solemn Strike to stop the Naturia Beast. From my experience if I open Obedience Schooled I win the vast majority of my games, but without it I probably lose most of the games.
I don't have a side, but it will probably have the generic stuff like System Down and Anti-Spell Fragrance in it.
I would write my reasons for card choices, but I somehow inspected element and deleted the part of the code with everything on it so I lost it. If you need any I'll tell you. If you need any I'll tell you. The reason I have over 40 cards is that I realised quickly I'd go over that, so I just put everything I wanted in.
If I can't get a Toadally Awesome between now and the 20th I can just swap out that and Bahamut Shark for

Aeroboros isn't worth it majority of the time, if that helps your extra-deck mentality at all. It's not awful, but its only major selling point is that it's a machine.
Tree Otter doesn't seem like it'd have a lot of applications. Nor does the second Kalantosa, though the second Kalantosa I just don't like because it already seems like you have plenty of (less-situational) removal cards.
How often do the Vanity's Fiends come into play?

Re: Geargia Crystron Raccoons
I agree with what you say about Aeroboros. It is just incredibly good in this specific combo against ABCs, as either I can stop them getting an equip from the deck with Union Hangar or I can use it to stop them going for an Xyz play for at least a turn (or both). The gigant play makes my next turn better, but the Aeroboros makes the ABC players turn terrible.
While I'd agree Tree Otter is the weakest of the beasts (it gets slight better because of Toadally Awesome) when its effect comes up as being more than just 1000 more damage it really does something. I'm fine crashing tokens into things, so all it does with them is let me keep one around, but for one of my less expendable cards its significantly more useful.
Kalantosa is the best card in the deck (as in literally when its in the deck and not in my hand). 95%+ of the time it will be what I summon off a Tantan, the destruction is incredibly valuable as it either makes it so I will have something on board next turn to make a play or I can get rid of a piece of backrow (which is normally what I destroy with it (I really hate trap cards in this deck)). I also get to summon it back with the Valerifawn, which is also really good.
Vanity's fiend is really a dead card for a turn if I don't open the Obedience Schooled as there's no other way for me to summon it, but as I have a lot of weak guys its easy to tribute one for it, especially so if I set a Tantan as its more than likely what I'll summon off of that will survive. When I do summon it though its almost an instant win against ABCs (again like I said unless they start playing cards to deal with it), its also just really good in general against any deck that only runs a couple of answers to it (e.g. blue-eyes only having Catsith and maybe Wing Blast).

Aeroboros can only be used in opponent's turn if you have Green layer as a material though.

If it was during either player's turn no matter what yeah 10/10 would recommend tbh xD
