Mistress of Magic [Lexie's Dark Magician Deck- July 2016]

That's right, after my long slew of random decks I've posted this week, I'm topping it off with my primary deck: Dark Magician.

For those unaware (which should be very few of you by now), the Dark Magician is my number one, absolute favourite monster of all time. No one even comes close. Its been my go-to ace monster since the beginning of the game and I've been beyond depressed for a long time seeing it unable to compete with even the rogue decks of the meta....until now anyway.

I know that no one reallys sees him as meta material, but Dark Magician has a lot going for it with all this support now. Fast, reliable special summons, board clearing, spot removal, search power. A lot of its plays are about disruption and control. Its biggest downside tends to be its inability to really recover from brick hands. Thankfully those are not common.

Monsters
[3] Dark Magician
A year ago this would be suicidal but now its a must! The star of the show, the focus of it all.
[1] Dark Magician of Chaos
Not entirely a necessity, but its great to have him back in the game. He's a great beater, gets back spells and banishes his fallen foes. Classic!
[1] Paladium Oracle Mahad {NEWLY ADDED}
Was fighting with myself over adding this guy. Works well with Chocolate and Circle combos, otherwise ends up a dead card if you start with him. Still an all around good card and I wanna keep it in here.
[2] Magician of Dark Illusions
The "alternative" Dark Magician with inverted stats. Big booty, free summon, and can easily get a Dark Magician on board for Rank 7s, Circle plays, and overall presence. Oh and he counts as Dark Magician when on field~
[1] Elemental HERO Prisma
[1] Summoner Monk
These two are paired together because they only really play off each other, but they are a back-up starter to the engine. Everyone knows the play: Monk into Prisma, Prisma dumps DM, make Daigusto Emeral, get DM on field.
[2] Chocolate Magician Girl
Spellcaster draw power! Revives my big guys if the opponent attacks her, and can help fix a brick hand by pitching the big guys.
[3] Magician's Rod
The Dark Magic Stratos. Gets you every single Dark Magician-specific spell in the game AND can recover itself for virtually free.
[1] Magician's Robe
Not needed most of the time, but gives me extra fodder and outlets of Summoning my Dark Magicians. Also serves as a good booty.

This beauty helps DM get over big beaters, protects your backrow, and grants a blanket of immunity to all your casters too. and its searchable.....

Protects those LP when your Spellcasters get beat on and revives one if it goes away. Combos well with Twisters and Hats.
