Characters that represent you?
Characters that you think represent yourself. It can be more than 1. I except to see more than a dozen from Aurora. For myself, I have 5.
1. Fox McCloud from Starfox
2. Ninten from MOTHER 1
3. Genos from OPM
4. Ken from Street Fighter
5. Trunks from DBZ
3/5 of my choices were blondes.

Re: Characters that represent you?
I have a handful here, each will have explanations accompanying them.
1. Chris Knight, Real Genius (1985)
During the summer between my Sophomore and Junior year of high school, I decided to revamp myself. I wanted to emulate those I had seen in shows and movies whom I thought were strong representations of the parts of me I liked most. Chris Knight is main character of the film "Real Genius" in which he is one of the top minds of America, but despite all his intellect, he is a child at heart. Constantly cracking dry humor and acting borderline insane, Chris made me see the smarter side of me that I often tried to shelf or hide away from because I did not want the responsibility of be expected to do well. He also inspired my quick wit and eccentric randomness.
2. Sonic the Hedgehog
Optimistic to a fault. "Can-do" attitude. Confident. Qualities I felt I often lacked as a kid, but grew into more and more thanks to Sonic the Hedgehog. Had it not been for this little blue blur, I might never have broken out of my shell, learned how to be comfortable with who I am, and eventually make the friends I did. (Not to mention my adoration for running.)
3. Captain Holly Short, Artemis Fowl series
A classic example of "Neutral Good." Holly best represents my sarcastic side as well as the loyalty to friends and willingness to skirt the rules (or break them) for what I feel is right.
4. Merlin, The Sword in the Stone, 1963
Were it not for this guy, I might never have fallen in love with the concept of magic and wizards. A lot of my mage characters stem from this interpretation of Merlin and by that, have influenced me quite a bit.
5. The Tenth Doctor, Doctor Who (2005-2010)
The best way of showing my sarcastic wit, cleverness, and seemingly inconsistent antics. The Tenth Doctor will always be my first Doctor.
and last but not least...
6. The Dark Magician, YuGiOh!
The Dark Magician himself always intrigued me and if anyone were to truly "represent" me in a YuGiOh medium, it's this guy. Confident, stoic, strong, clever. Magical might has never looked so good.

Re: Characters that represent you?
#1
- Spoiler:
#1: Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist.
Rin has always been the character I emulate the most. From his quirks, to his flaws, to his strong points, people who know me well can easily compare me to this hot-blooded spawn of Satan. He might be immature, hotheaded and awkward as hell, but he also has a kind, loving heart. He often displays this with his friends, animals, and sometimes even Demons. Because of his past, he can easily level with anybody and understand them. Such as Shiemi when she lost her grandmother, or Kuro when he learned of Shiro's(Rin and Yukio's adoptive father) death. Rebellious attitude, smart mouth and caring heart. That's exactly what many friends of mine see in me.
- Spoiler:
#2: Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul.
"Pain is your friend. Pain is your ally. It lets you know when you've been hurt. But you know what the best thing about pain is? It lets you know that you're not dead yet!" I watched this anime when I was going through depression, and I could feel for Kaneki every step of the way. A half-ghoul that is disliked by both the humans and ghouls, all he wants is to be loved and cared for, but he fears that his instinct is going to make him lash out at them and scare them off, or kill them. He does not like to hurt people, especially not those he cares for, making it hard for him to eat in a situation where it's kill people to eat or die. At the very end of Tokyo Ghoul Root A, you see a heartbroken Kaneki carry his childhood friend Hideyoshi across a battle-torn field full of dead humans and ghouls alike, distraught at the loss of his friend, with the opening theme of season 1, "Unravel" playing. He has also been pushed so far that his mental sanity has snapped, leaving an insane killing machine to wreak havoc on the city of Tokyo until he regained his senses. I relate to this character's devotion to his friends and beliefs, along with his struggles and personality traits.
- Spoiler:
#3: Dante, Devil May Cry 1-4. (Not the re-boot Dante.)
Rebellious, stylish and completely fucking awesome, Dante has always been there to tell me "Fuck the system." In fact, I used to style my hair in a similar fashion to Dante's, no lie. But I really relate to his rebellious, smartass, quirky and confident attitude. Because nothing's more stylish than a Dante wombo combo, right? Oh, and fuck Demons. Except A27, he's cool.
- Spoiler:
#4: Crow "The Bullet" Hogan, Yugioh 5D's and Arc-V.
Obvious raisins here. Torm and A27 can probably name off all of them, but I relate to his character, personality, deck and his ideals.

Re: Characters that represent you?
- Spoiler:
Kyoko Sakura from Puella magi madoka magica, this is not really anymore but more during a period of my life wich was not that long ago honestly where i had roughly the same mindset Kyoko has in the begining of the series
That one should ONLY look after themself and never really on anyone else nor help anyone else, therefour you can only blame yourself for the things that happen to you and you dont have to feel regret for anything, i had developed this mindset i think becuse when i grew up i always had my brothers and was never alone but when non of them lvied home anymore i started to feel really lonely so instead of feeling sorry for myself i decided that humans are supposed to be lone wolfs and you can never rely on anyone, we are alone and such things as friends is temporary at best (this part was in large due to not having talked with my best friend for weeks if not even months, it is fine now cause we have talked a bit more lately)
And much like Kyoko i ended up butting heads a bit with some people over this mindset and becuse of thoose very same people dropped it eventually
- Spoiler:
Archer from fate/stay
His personallity AND that he thinks that saying you will save everyone is wrong becuse you CAN´T save everyone, if you try MORE people is very likely to die wich i agree with. Also this line
"Acting on their own is an archers specialty"
I look at myself as a loner, i like being alone a lot but i personally still think friends are really important i just like being alone a lot to
- Spoiler:
Archer from fate/zero and fate/prototype
This is a different archer (actually 2 but both are Gilgamesh the king of heroes, the one from prototype is kidner though but seems to be same aside from that and the only reasons why i didnt only have him there is cause we havnt seen enough of him so i inclue them both here) from the same franchise but i identify with him less then the other archer, i still identify with him becuse
1. His philosophy "One should always do what they enjoy even if it is harmfull to them or others" if you remove the final part then i agree with that, even if you would be better of doing something else if you enjoy it i say it is what you should be doing
2. This line "I have only ever had one comrade and i dont need anyone else" but not as extreme, i dont need many friends i have the friends i need and while i wouldnt mind having more i dont care that much, i have all i need and i do not need any more
also many other characters but i am way to lazy to list em all ._. so i thought it might be more important to show some "negative" things eh? actually i dont think these are that negative but eh whatever

Re: Characters that represent you?
don't have much for pictures but
1. HK-47 (Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic)
Because we all have a sarcastically humorous murder-droid inside us when we poke fun at others :p
2. Kenichi Shirohama (History's Strongest Disciple)
He can't stand the weak and helpless constantly being preyed upon by punks that want nothing more than to flex their own muscles about and hurt others in the process. He trains everyday with his masters to protect others, despite nearly or having already died in each session (thinking of doing a Kenichi owned count gig like TFS did Krillin), but he comes out stronger everytime and does what he believes is right.
3. Siegfried (Soul Calibur IV)
A man who's been on both sides of his tormented life, who's vowed to live on, and to fight the very sin that he became- to seek atonement, and to end a curse that plagues a world.
4. Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII)
I can personally relate to his pain, of loving someone who felt the same way about you, yet despite circumstances, chose to distance herself by hurting you and going over to the guy who cared absolutely nothing for her or anyone else. And yet, time can pass, the wounds can heal, but when that other comes back and wants to be in your life again, can you truly say to let her in, or has that ship truly set sail, never to return?

Great. You survived it.
- Kamui/ Corrin:
As you may or may not know, Kamui is the default name of the avatar of the player in Fire Emblem If/ Fates. He's dealt with more crap that you'd think in his past. Watching his mothers' death, deciding between family or the people who originally raised him, whether to kill so and so, need I explain more? However, even with this, he still is acting as if this hadn't happened. At most times, he tries to hide it. Me? Well, I might seem like an unharmed person but I truly have seen some stuff I do not want to see ever again. (Personal stuff here) I've seen my brother lay there, suffering on his death bed. It literally tore me to nothing but anger and tears. Yet look at me right now. That moment in time is constantly on replay in the back of my head, and here I am. Acting as if nothing has ever happened. "That's just a small part of your lifetime, big deal, get over it. You haven't explained anything else that relates you to the character." Well, I'm sure a lot of you have to take paths as well. With me, I'm always unsure with the decision I make. I truly can't make a good choice without looking through it thoroughly first, and then regretting it later in the future. Heh, need I remind you I find both Kamui and I good looking...
2.
- Shun Kurosaki/ Shay Obsidian:
Shun Kurosaki... The conflicting character with Kamui. I really couldn't make a decision between these two for top spot, so I still would count this as a number one... But that doesn't matter. A little preview of Shun? Shun is a... Well... Insane, crazy, outgoing, Xyz maniac with a troubled past. He watched as Heartland burned to the ground from Academia's forces. Family, friends, home. Pretty much gone. Worst of all, he had seen his own life and blood taken away from him, Ruri. He traveled different dimensions with his best friend, Yuto... Yuto is inside of Yuya... Won against Sora, lost against Sora, overkill on Dennis, lost against Crow, Metal Gear Shun, blah, blah, blah. To be honest, he is probably the other half of me. While I do try to keep my calm, there's always that one thing that ticks me off and sends me on a rampage. Wanting to screw up all who tried to mess with me, tried to stand in my way, blah, blah. Aside from that, I feel as if my sister and I have split apart in the past few years. We used to be hand-in-hand, if you go somewhere, I'd follow. We were the dynamic duo until she moved away. I only see her once or twice per year. I'd so love to have that one moment where it can just be like the good times. But hey, don't cry because it's over, be happy that it happened. "Oh God, shut up about your shit, nobody cares!"
3.
- Susanoo:
Finally, I'll just go into some stuff that isn't too deep. Susanoo. Perfectionist. Stylish. Great person overall. Straightforward.
4.
- Wolf O'Donnell:
As we go down the list, it gets shorter. Rivalry. More rivalry. Did I mention rivalry? Rivalry.
5.
- Suzukaze/ Kaze:
Easier and easier. Sweet talking. Nuff said.
Great. You survived it.

Re: Characters that represent you?
This thread is abouts characters that are like us, not characters we want to be. More honest approach with longass explanations this time.
- Longass Intro Speech You Usually Skip in RPGs:
- When I was a kid, I didn't know who the hell I was or who I wanted to be. Just a wondering lost soul. A blank slate. Just going through life like any other person. Going with the flow adapting and whatnot. No sense of direction or any shred of motivation.Trying to find... me.
As such I developed a love if er "theater antics" from an early age. If I like the data. I assimiliate it. Emulate it. Evolve it. Make it better. Make it... me.
If I saw characters or things that I like, I take the parts I like and make it a part of me. Like mt approach to alnost anything. Envision sewing up a frankenstein at all times. And I have become a collection of what I like. Many many masks and I have come to develop my own sense of self. Of what I want to be. Of what I believe in. Of what I like.
A huge collection and presentation of data.
The ironical part is that most that which helped me find myself. They aren't real.
But I am what I want to be because of these.
So uh I present to you some of my favourite characters that make up a major part of my composition. Of who I am.
- 1. Simon - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann:
Ah Simon the Digger. I always, ALWAYS see myself as this character. I will probably never stop being Simon. Just a kid living his life normally maybe hopeless and dull. Were it not for Kamina. His best pal in the world. Kamina, one of the mosst charismatic and enthusiastic people to be ever around. His antics and words are truly inspirational to the point that its always straight from the heart to the heart. The very epitome of manliness. Of what a real man should be like. Always inspired by Kamina, Simon had the will, the inspiration to move on and keep doing whats right. To believe in himself at all times. Full of that i spiration Simon had the will to live on. The legacy of Kamina will never die. And Simon goinf through all the rocky phases in life made it through thanks to Kamina. And just like Kamina inspires everyone else around him at all times. Kamina never dies. And I as Simon, inspired by the many Kaminas, by the mighty Kamina himself. I have the heart to constantly keep on moving forward in life. To believe in myself. And to pass the very same legacy to everyone else around me. To honour and do tha legacy justice. The anime touched my heart on a personal level. I am Simon the Digger. And my drill is the drill that will pierce the heavens!
- 2. Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney series:
Heh. The Ace Attorney series always brought a huge smile to my face at all times. I always want to be a hero. And this game series, especially Phoenix Wright himself made me actually want to be a lawyer in real life! Taking a goofy humours approach and deep storytelling, the Phoenix Wright series is one of my main inspirations for analyzing and intepreting data, especially that which relates to/with and dealing with people.
Phoenix Wright. A goofy and wimpy apprentice of a very capable lawyer that believed in him. Rose to be one of most legendary defence attorneys to have ever lived in his time. Whenever I fall to my base instincts when making solid judgement, and dealing with people and situations. I always become Phoenix Wright incarnate. See that contradiction and look deep inside your heart. You can see that one solid
Always goofy, yet professional when needs be. Always logical, patient, calm, considerate. Thinking outside the box. Always having a deep sense of right and wrong. Determibation. Pressing always onwards for truth and justice even at the cost of his own clients. Became a defence attourney to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Phoenix Wright is a force to be reckoned with at all times even if he looks or seems like a clumsy goofball.
Just check out all the Phoenix Wright expressions and you'll see me at once XD
I love this character so much.
- 3. Godot - Ace Attorney series:
All my professional fronts right here. The day just ain't complete without coffee. Preach about that coffee. Godot is a really deep character. Wise and knowledgable way beyond his years. Sees the bitterness of life, thinks and reflects upon it. Perhs all that wisdom stems from coffee. And thinking. And with this ascended level of understanding, Godotresses on and makes his case always. The day ain't ever complete without the elixir straight from the gods. Coffee.
And I see all this in me as well.
- 4. Sans the Skeleton - Undertale:
To me. Sans is the best character in Undertale. Period. To me he is a very deep, wise, understanding and compassionate character whi just wants to have a good time with his friends all the time. He has powers of time to a certain extent and is always aware of every single move you make. Everytime you jump back in time. He knows. He remembers. All your past actions. Sans is always watching. Judging you at all times.
Sans laments upon all your sins. All his sins.
Sans is also somewhat of a lazyass char. And LOVES making bad puns. I'm just not addicted to ketchup like he is.
Always judging and aware of everyones sins and actions even as the timelines change.
I wonder how Sans is able to sleep at night. I wonder how I am able to as well.
Silently always judging. Holding back all his feekings always. Just holding it back. But when he explodes everyones souls are about to be ripped apart real bad.
Genocide run. I didnt feel a thing. Until I reached Sans. Then I just broke down entirely.
I see myself as Sans a whole damn lot.
- 5. Colress - Pokemon Black/White 1 & 2:
Heh. Colress. The scientist in me. Forget the anime Colress he is absolutely bullshit. The game Colress is actually a very deep and understanding character who doesnt five two shits about good nor evil. He is only concerned about science and moving forward in his studies. In that way he is really honest. Colress is not an evil charcter at all yet has a commanding presence abouts him. The confidence in his studies. In his data. In himself. Always full of curiosity of every single thing around him. Like an excited child discoverinf something new. Analyze inteperit study data. Data data data.
Yeah. Colress. I see myself a whole lot in him.
- 6. Smoker - One Piece:
When I was really small. I wanted to be a villian. As I grew up I slowly started wanting to be a HERO. Now I can only see myself as a HERO.
Smoker works on the side of the law as one of the Marines. Yet laws will never hold him back from doing what he thinks is right at all times without differentiating neither friend nor foe. Even at the cost of him getting punished by his superiors. This was the most inspiring feature of Smoker to me. The power never corrupted him.
Smoker also cares about his friends and those under hin deeply and will go to extreme lengths to protect them and make sure no harm comes to them, even at the cost if his own life. Because he knows he can take it even if his men can't.
- 7. Rock Lee - Naruto:
One of my earliest inspirations in life. Rock Lee has this gung ho work hard cheerful and goofy attitude at all times. And he loves striking poses. Just like his sensei. Unlike all the other ninjas, Rock Lee has absolutely no skill in the ninja arts other than that of ohysical combat techniques known as taijutsu. So he worked extremely hard at that. The very example of guts, hard work and determination.
If he made a mistake while training. He will punish himself each time by doing some serious physical exercises like 100 pushups each time or something similiar. But not stopping at what he is working on or training. And each of the punishments is self discipline and makes him only stronger.
And so I assimilated Rock Lee as myself from so damn long ago. I saw everyone around me with natural talent. They didnt even have to work hard to get good at certain things. They wer born with that skill. Life isn't fair. But that never is a fkn excuse! And just like always positive Rock Lee. I always work towards achieving my goals and surpassing people. Just with hard work and determination. Nothing is going to bring me down. No Johns! Whether it be childrens card games or life.
Rock Lee. His attitude. That was the first time in my life. I ever got any sense of self motivation and a drive in my life. The burning fire of youth was lit inside my soul! I will never forget.
