"Dream"- An Original Poem, by Stardust

What does it mean, to dream?
To dream is to break the bonds of formality,
to escape into the realm of fantasy,
and from that fantasy, can come reality.
The reality to change fate,
The reality to stay awake.
A dream is a star set above the sky,
so far from us it lies,
For we cannot grasp it,
but we take comfort in the fact that it is there.
That it has it's light to share.
Light that brings away the pain.
Light that cleanses us from this stain,
the stain of our madness and bureaucracy,
the mess of our singularity and insanity,
and because of this light... we envy them.

They shine above looking down on us,
shine down knowing that we have trust,
Trust that the stars will shine another night,
trust in the dreams that bring us delight,
trust in the sun that it will bring upon morning so bright.
Trust that the storm will bring a rainbow so right.
It is this trust that keeps our dreams alive,
that keeps our very world up high.

To dream is not to fantasies on the impossible,
to dream, is to manifest the undone.
