Gravity Falls (SPOILER ALERT)- Weirdmageddon could've been easily prevented or stopped

Okay, after rewatching some of the episodes, I found a few decisions that certain characters could've made that would've prevented weirdmageddon from happening in the first place.

Let's start with Dipper and Mabel. When Dipper and Mabel where arguing about Dipper staying in gravity falls, Mabel could've simply stayed in Gravity Falls with Dipper. They have a regular school, and if they would allow Dipper to stay with Ford, then they could've also allowed Mabel to stay as well. Even if Mabel wasn't gonna stay and they both had to leave, Ford could perhaps just mentor Dipper through video chatting, email, text, and various other messaging devices. Ford could also visit them on a bi-weekly or monthly basis or vice versa.

Now let's move on to what Ford could've done. Back 30 years ago when Ford was trying to hide the Journals and destroy the portal, he could've done something much simpler. Why didn't he just Bill-proof the house in the first place? It was shown in one of the Journals that he obviously knew how to do it, so why didn't he? That way, Nobody would be able to take the Journals or reactivate the machine if they where possessed by Bill.

Third, There is Blandin. When Blandin woke up and realized what was happening, why didn't he just go back into the past with the time officers in order to prevent the device from being destroyed. I mean seriously, it was that simple.

I think you are correct by how should have they done it.Well,Maybe the house where Ford used to live in which i mean the house that dipper and mable live in.Maybe the protection From Bill Expered by the time Ford was back.So they needed to Bill-proof the house again.

About mable to stay in gravity falls is true.But Maybe she wanted to go back with her parents with dipper,Because she had enought of all the crazy shit that's happening in gravity falls?.Think about it.Mable is an living person,Even thouth she's in a cartoon.

Anyways,About episode 17.I kind of wish that Bill would possested mable when she ran of to the woods.Because she was weak and Bill could have easily Possesed her,I feel like that would have been an much better plot twist then that Bill possesed that Time Traveler Guy.

Well for starters, Mabel in episode 17 specifically said that she wanted to stay in gravity falls. Also about Bill possessing Mabel, in the sock puppet opera episode it was shown that when possessing somebody they would be limited to their human weaknesses. But then again he could always leave Mabel's body. But I think that Bill just trapped Mabel in the prison bubble strategically. Think about it, Mabel and Dipper together where able to beat Bill Cipher twice, so it would be smart to keep them separate just in case.
