The Magical Arts Duel Academy Hunger Games

A role-play event based on the book and movie series The Hunger Games. In this role-play, participants from the various dorms of the academy are known as Tributes. These Tributes engage in a life or death contest to determine which dorm reigns supreme and is granted the Grand Prize (to be announced)

Rules

Each Tribute must participate at least once every two days. If a Tribute has not posted at least one time within 48 hours (either in game or a notice of absence) then they are considered "dead" and are removed from the Games.

Tributes each have a dueling deck and LP. These out-of-duel LP are used like vitality, or Hit Points, for use outside of dueling and for surviving the Arena.
Decks in the Games are restricted in several ways. The first and most important restriction is the Archetype Clause. Each deck may only consist of one archetype and cannot use any cards if they belong to another archetype. Certain archetypes cannot be selected. This is a contest, but is a role-play first and foremost, so we want to keep it entertaining.

When a Tribute loses a match, or their LP are reduced to zero (out-of-duel LP) they are slain and removed from the Games. Fallen Tributes, and their decks, may not be taken, used, or otherwise affected by the remaining Tributes. (This means no stealing decks from the fallen).

The Games are over when only one Tribute remains, granting themselves, their Sponsor, and their dorm the Grand Prize.

As this is a role-play, take note that story is the most important part (along with everyone's enjoyment) so expect the GM to add things to the story to keep things interesting!

The Arena

The Hunger Games itself takes place within the MADA Dome, a massive arena filled with various terrain, traps, and dangers. These terrains affect the duels much like they did in Duelist Kingdom, Forbidden Memories, and Duelists of the Roses. Terrains power up and power down certain monster types. This increase/decrease is always 500 points to both ATK and DEF. A complete list of terrain can be found below.

Decks

As stated above, Tribute's decks must consist of a single archetype. Only archetype decks are permitted (Ex. Lightsworn is an arechetype. Monarchs are not)
Decks must abide by TCG's most recent banlist and must not contain OCG cards. If a monster card does not belong to an archetype, it may be included in your deck but you are permitted only 3-non archetype monster cards in the entire Main deck. (Spells and Traps that do not belong to an archetype are permitted but you may only use 1 copy of those cards)

Even if you're not a Tribute, you can still participate in the Games by sponsoring one of the Tributes. Sponsors can spend their credits to buy certain bonuses for their Tributes in an attempt to turn the tides of the Games for them. Each Tribute may have only one sponsor and choices are locked. -LP Replenish: Can restore a Tributes LP by 4000
-LP Cost Down: Reduces LP action deductions by half.
-Card Swap: Allows a Tribute to exchange 1 card from their deck for one chosen by the Sponsor (this can bypass the Archetype Clause)
-Deck Exchange: Replaces a Tribute's deck with an entirely new one, built by the sponsor (must follow deck guidelines)
