Improving the System MUST READ

Ok so this will be the 3rd time I decide to make some changes in this academy. But this time it is for good , trust me. Yesterday I recall a user was arguing about the testing system. So I read what he/she wrote. I agreed on most of what he says. Also yesterday I was studying for this test, and in the section I had to study it talked about how standarized tests should be. So any test had to undergo this 3 rules:
1. Standardization means that every student takes the same test under the same circumstances.
2. Reliability means a test gives the same or very similar results every time.
3. Validity means that a test measures what it’s supposed to measure

So I decided to compare our testing system with this. And our test is far from being standard. Am not saying its bad, its just unfair.

I have come up with the following ideas to solve our testing issues. I think they are issues, I just want to point out this is my opinion, it is not anything set so do not get upset.

1. Make all testers use the same deck. Why the same deck? Because that way all the new members will undergo the same test. The deck will be decided by admins and of course it has to be in the meta tier.

2.By having the same deck being used for the test, it is gonna be reliable, because people who are in the same group will have similar scores.

3. The test must be recorded or that when a test is going to take place that 2 or more people watch the duel, so the tester and those people can discuss about the testee performance. If it is video taped then it can be discussed by the admins.

4. A new rubric. I think it talks by itself.

If we decide to undergo this I will be 100% into making it happen. And help to make it too.

I don't agree with having the same deck, but recording our duels with testers and having a new rubric is a good idea. However using the same deck is so predictable, so if anyone wanted to study, they would just have to make sides or a perfect counter for the SAME deck in a row. Some of our testing ways can be unfair depending on the deck we use, but the player we test should prepare for ANYTHING. Expect the unexpected. But this MAY be a good idea.

I say, we test them on YGOPRO through some Dueling AI. I've gone up against it all the time, it's customizable and you can choose what deck it uses o3o

several things here, one i agree jeff and i htink we should use shaddoll the first time but if they take a re-test we have an other deck so that they cant build a deck specifically to counter it, two at least you cant cheat on ygopro and there is way to many cheaters that cant admit when they are wrong on DN and three i dont have anything to record with so if this goes trough i cant test :/ i do agree with your ideas though

1-2:I dont believe in everybody using the same deck. Sorry, but I feel that it is taking away the person who is testing's freedom. Not everybody is good with the same deck.
3:What if there are not multiple members online? What if the tester has no way of recording it? That seems kinda silly if you ask me. People make it to these testing positions for good reason >.>
4:I totally agree on a new Rubric. Our current rubric is kinda biased so far if you ask me.
Overall, we can do the new Rubric, but stripping people of a play-style that they feel comfortable with, and taking away that one-on-one time between tester and testee seems kinda..... I dunno, like something a corrupt government would do. I am not being biased toward my own opinion at all. I think you have a brilliant idea, but let's be completely real here, this seems a little extreme.

i agree completely on the current rubric being biased, especially the parts only shown to testers seems very biased and without reaveling much intel on it i barelly got trough my will to deacrese the point reduction for something stupid
