Section 07 - Abandoned City

The original District 01 before the war. This crumbling city is all that remains of the once humble area and became the starting point of the Arena's construction.

Psychic-type monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF while dueling here, while all non-Psychic-type monsters lose 500 ATK and DEF.

The sky was a dark, hazy shade of grey, reminiscent of the early winter that Lexie was so accustomed to back home. The city was eerily silent, the type of silence that makes the hairs on your neck stand and you can hear your heartbeat in your ears as the blood flows.

'Why did it have to be me?' she questioned in her mind, 'Did I deserve to die?'

Trembling the whole way, Lexie decided to seek shelter and possibly find a way to feed herself.

It took some time, but Lexie had managed to find a decent enough building that was suitable for a dwelling still. A single, unbroken window remained in the bedroom and that was where she chose to make her camp. She took a moment to check the building for any tools or weapons that may have been left by...previous Tributes, but to no avail. The best she could do was find a loose bit of rebar to use as a club of sorts.

'Now to look for a source of water,' she told herself, 'Not like my monsters' abilities will be able to sustain me, right?' she smiled at her own joke as she exited the building slowly.

She looked up and down the street, seeing nothing but empty remains of a bustling city and a treeline to the south. 'I bet there's a stream in the forest somewhere!' and she set off for the forest.
