a lesson about igknights (been testing them on ygopro and i love them)
i see it this way, you can either do a very xyz focused variant without the effect monsters or you can do the variant i play that mainly goes for the big igknights and possibly some cool tribute summon monsters like the monarchs
this is what i feel like is most effective with what cards and how many of them
2 igknight avenger, possibly 3 or 1 but i feel like 2 is best, it helps get rid of that nasty backrow and is my personal favorite
2 igknight stinger, same here, it gets rid of the really anoying monsters like marshmellon, honor ark, lead yoke, etc.
3 calibur, it is the main beat down card of the deck with its 2100 atk and easy pendulum summon
3 dragnow and musket, can be used for rank 4 plays and as the scales
2-3 magnum and eagle, same as bove but can be used for rank 3, these should run at 3 but can be cut down to 2
2-3 riot, preafereble 2 unless you want to go for lots of rank 5, i have him at 3 for that reason
0-3 doomstar magician, this card is like a less usefull echo oscillation and can be cut for something better and more usefull
3 supply squad, dont cut this one, have it at 3 ALWAYS, this gives it a lot of extra draw power with the next card
2-3 ignition phoenix, this card helps out a lot with searching and with supply squad it helps the draw power a lot
2-3 echo oscillation, this card helps all pendulum decks with enough pendulum monsters to have something to put their at most times
you can use dragoons of draconia (both of them) but i personally hasnt had much use of them so i feel like you can do as you wish with them, i have also found kuraz very effective in all pendulum decks with good enough search and draw power to have something in their scales at most times but i havnt tried him in this yet
