Introduction to ORAS Little Cup (LC) Hubbanner

LC (Little Cup) is a format in which players may only use Pokémon that have not yet evolved but are capable of evolution.

LC is a very different metagame. If you want to play a tier that doesn't have stalling, LC is one of them. It's a very aggressive tier, which makes stall tactics hard to execute.

Play Restrictions

● All Pokémons are level 5.
● Smogon-Wide Clauses

       -Species Clause
       -Sleep Clause
       -Evasion Clause
       -OHKO Clause
       -Moody Clause
       -Endless Battle Clause
       -Swagger Clause

Pokémons that are banned from this tier (currently):

● Drifloon
● Gligar
● Meditite
● Misdreavus
● Murkrow
● Scyther
● Sneasel
● Swirlix
● Tangela
● Yanma

Pokémon moves that are not allowed in this tier:

● Dragon Rage
● Sonicboom

Advice, Tips, and Guides

Teambuilding Advice

1. Leftovers and Black Sludge is useless.
2. Choice Band and Choice Specs are very situational and are almost always outclassed by the Life Orb. Choice Scarf is fine.
3. Oran Berry and Sitrus Berry is outclassed by the Berry Juice.
4. Assault Vest is outclassed by Eviolite
5. If you're using a Pokémon that has Belly Drum, make sure its HP is divisible by 4 or your HP will be at 51%, meaning Berry Juice won't activate.
6. If you're using Life Orb, try to make them have 19 HP. This will make them only lose 1 HP from each attack rather than 2 HP if they had 20-29 HP.

Metagame Tips

1. The move 'Knock Off' is omnipresent in this tier. Make sure to take into account that it doesn't cripple your team when picking Pokémons for your lineup.
2. Fletchling is a very potent sweeper with its combination of Gale Wings, Acrobatics/Brave Bird, Swords Dance and the fact that Flying type has a lot of neutral match-ups.
3. Stealth Rock and Spikes are amazing in this tier due to the elevated amount of Sturdy Pokémon and Focus Sash users.
4. Fighting type Pokémon are very good in the LC metagame. Definitely prepare to use a Pokémon that could switch in on Fighting types.
5. Dragon type Pokémon are not very good in LC.
