Would you rather have Pyrokinesis or Cyrokinesis?

For those not endowed in this subject, what I'm asking in the title is basically would you rather have the ability to control fire (Pyrokinesis) or the ability to control ice (Cyrokinesis) and why?

For myself, I think I'd like to have the ability to control fire. And the reason is so I can imitate Falco's recovery while saying "FIYAH".

I've got to go with Pyro, mainly because ever since I was young I always enjoyed watching fires and just because if it was the middle of winter I could simple start a fire to keep myself warm and also if I get bored I could burn stuff down for the fun of it.

CRYOKINESIS

I usually like wielding opposite dualities. My childhood was heavily influenced by Mortal Kombat. I always, always mained Sub-Zero and Skorpion.
That and god fkn damn is Fire sooooo mainstream. Like EVERYONE and their fathers are all abouts that fire. Ice has that harmony of chill. Feels damn solid too. And definitely gets that message across to slow the fuck up. Ice can also easily effect living organisms and liquids to slow the fk up, solidify/freeze or just stay still so that I can actually hit em with all the ice shattering brute force I have, up close and personal liek. Ice comboes with water in really creative ways as well.
So yeah. Ice it is.

electrokinesis could also be useful because it is possible to create cold with electricity, the only problem is it requires more electricity to make something cold then warm. But out of the two options I'd choose pyrokinesis, I could think of more uses for that.

im still sticking with fire, i dont care if its maintstream its cold AF here sometimes and also its fun watching stuff burn, i do still prefer electricity and earth over it and ice isnt that far behind fire, i simply think fire would be slightly more usefull to me personally

Cryokinesis has so many more applications than pyrokinesis.

Cryokinesis is more powerful than Pyrokinesis. However, Pyrokinesis seems more relevant unless you can make it on your own. Since you can carry a lighter at all times for Pyrokinesis, and don't always have access to ice. I'd rather have Pyrokinesis since you can use it more frequently. Umbrakinesis though!

My answer more stems from control instead of like Ice Make or Pyro Make. It seems easier to look at this logically through control instead of creation.

Fire is destruction. But with ice, you can build structures such as a bridge, or a door or wall. Temporary structure of course, but next to fire? Ha, what will fire do for you?

It really depends. Are we simply talking about the ability to control one or the other and not be able to generate it ourselves ala Pyro from X-Men whose power was pyrokinesis where he could control fire but needed a source for it as he couldn't make it out of thin air himself or the ability to create them out of thin air, basically, without needing a source first to control them ala Iceman?

If its the former I would have to say pyrokinesis because it is much easier to carry around a source of fire with you then it is a source of ice and you can do more with a small source of fire then a small source of ice giving the pyrokinesis in this case overall more utility.

If its the latter I would have to go with Cyrokinesis due being able to accomplish a lot more with ice if you can summon it out of thin air and being far more powerful then fire, for the most part.

That being said, I would much rather be able to manipulate light and darkness.

Well true pyromancy is a form of divination, basically. Its not about controlling the fire or anything like that, it is about gaining insight about something through the fire.

However, given how fiction likes to stray away from the true meaning of something.

The difference between the type of pyromancy you are talking about and pyrokinesis is ultimately magic vs ability. And usually this type of pyromancy is far more brutish and not nearly as controllable as pyrokinesis is with fire. Like with Pyromancy you can "cast a spell" to summon a ball of fire and send it off in a general direction but you can't really control what the fire does after that.
