Genesis 3 Top 8 results for Melee

So I figured it's my 300th post why not do one about Melee. As a few or most of you know there was a giant Melee tournament that I was watching for the past few days and I decided why not let you guys know who got top 8 in the tournament so here it is.

1st place went to Adam "Armada" Lindgren playing his Fox and Peach.

2nd place went to Joseph "Mang0" Marquez playing his Fox and Falco.

3rd place went to Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma playing his Jigglypuff.

4th place went to Jeffrey "Axe" Williamson playing his Pikachu.

5th place actually was a tie between Kevin "PPMD" Nanney playing his Falco and Marth and Zachary "SFAT" Cordoni playing his Fox.

Since there was a tie for 5th place there is no 6th place winner but 2 7th place winners which were Michael "Nintendude" Brancato playing his Ice Climbers and Mustafa "Ice" Akcakaya playing his Fox.

All eight players did really well and did their best in the tournament, and if you are wondering why Jason "M2K" Zimmerman was not in top 8 that is because he got 9th place losing to Michael "Nintendude" Brancato.

Interesting Facts about this tournament. This was the largest Smash tournament in history with approximately 3,000 entrants, approximately 1,800 were for Melee. Of all 3 Genesis Grand Finals, it has always been Mango vs. Armada, the Genesis score is 2-1 in Armada's favor.
