Setting:
The time lines is the same as us right now. Modern. Regular cars, regular politics. But there is a little twist to it. Everyone has powers, or abilities that they can do. Most of the people have level 1 or level 2 abilities which could be anything from opening locks to turning into a couch. There are people with level 3-5 abilities but those are much more rare. IN this Roleplay you can have the choice of having any level power other than 5. Level 5 powers are world changing, to being able to kill anyone in the whole world to being omnipotent. This is the norm, and the main story plot wont be based around how everyone has a power or ability. The main story plot will be a story that would happen most likely if our world was like this world that you will be exploring.

Plot:
Plot Will be given if i get enough character to start the first chapter.

Fighting System:

There will also be fighting in this roleplay. So, I'll be bringing in the Energy System.

Basically every character has an energy bar of 50 and depending on what they do with their powers lowers that energy bar. What they do in their daily life wont effect this energy bar cause that would be tedious and then it would be annoying for me and i don't want that.

EX:

Kane activated his gauntlets, they started to glow grey as a grayish energy started to form around them. He then slashed his arms at his opponents direction, the gray energy blasting towards them.

That move required 1 point, while stronger and more complicated moves will need more points in order to use.

Our characters can start out with anything really, just pick a power that you want to use through out the Roleplay. You CAN NOT do anything over powered, or anything i believe is too Over Powers such as Gravity Powers, Time Powers. Something Simple that can be blocked easily, like "Fire Manipulation" And such. Dont hesitate to give youself what you really like to have. A good place to look through abilities is here -> [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

You can choose a main ability and like have sub sections of it. So like If you choose Fire Manipulation that means you can manipulate fire, but you're also going to need Fire creation to create the fire you want to manipulate. Then you can have other Fire related things that you can do. The maximum abilities you can have is 5, and later throughout the RP you will be able to unlock an ability unlock. Maybe its a boss drop or something.

History: 200+ Words The characters Background. What makes him who he is today

Skill Sheet: This is what you will use to make your 5 abilities.
Name: Name of your ability
Cost: How much energy is costs
Range: Low/Med/Long
Duration: How long it can last
Cool-Down: How long you have to wait until you can use it again
Description: Description of what your ability is. As well as what level the ability is, in your mind.

Ex of a Skill Sheet:
Name: Lava Manipulation
Cost/conditions: N/A
Range: Dependent on what is created
Duration: N/a
Cool-Down: N/a
Description: Allows the user to maniulate the Lave that his body is made of, into different shapes and manipulate it to his will. adjusting the temperature  in the high end levels.


EXTRA INFO:
This roleplay will be chapter to chapter based where i will be posting this in chapters. So chapter 1 will do this one plot then it end then i make chapter 2. If i did it all in one the post will split into two and it would become into a gigantic mess.

Rules:
No God Modding: Cant destroy the world with a snap of your finger that type of thing
Cant kill characters without permission
No Auto Hitting: Cant hit a character without giving them a chance to react. Their reaction will be them either dodging it if they have the chance, blocking it if they are given the chance, or taking the hit. IT all depends on how you type it. If you type it with a huge way for them to block it, they will most likely block it. But if you're smert and make an attack that seems impossible to block or dodge, that will most likely hit.

What's the point of minimizing the power level people can take when everyone can choose 4? I mean, since you allowed 4, why would anyone pick less?

first of all what is the spirit? you never mentioned anything about that, secondly how the hell will we know how much damage an attack does if we do not have a health bar? if so do we put points into stuff like speed, health damage etc. and how can we justify using some powers for only one attack, say teleport it would be kinda silly to not simply just teleport a knife into their skull or teleport around them and keep attacking for a while
and how would Mind controll (the ability i plan to have) work in a fight? if i can just mind controll them id be unfair but if i cant use it like that in a fight id get my ass kicked (not that i planned to do a lot fo fighting)

would it really be nescecary with 100 words to describe you personallity? it will just be tedious and lots of padding, wouldnt it be better with more like 50 words or maybe even less?

the fighting style in the character sheet is a cool idea though but what if your character isnt a fighter? we leave it blank right?

just these questions but the level thing seems kinda cool (if very likely inspired by To aru majutsu no index and to aru kagaku no railgun) and i think i can answer your question matronix, some people doesnt want to be to OP and are in this for the fun of RPing rather then winning so some fo them would pick a lower level for thinkign id be better for the character

It's not about being OP, it's about having a chance against other people. We want to have a levelled RP, no?

If mind controling would then be considered OP by the creator, aka firebreath, then you won't be able to do it.

100 words isn't too much. It is to really identify with your character. 50 or less is redundant as you can't really say much about your character with such a limitation.

You'd have to use your abilities offesively even once. You can't justify winning with defense.

i never meant using abilities defenceviley, i meant what if you try to avoid fighting? for example if someone pick invicibility can they really use it for this combat system?

if you mean the sub section thing they apear to have to be related, for example controlling water may have a sub section with turning it into ice but it seemed like it had to be related so no say teleportation and fire manipulation it seems like

Water takes 1 point and then ice another. Generating water another. So on and forth. But you could take fire and invisibility, but not invisible fire, because I deem that OP. No idea though.

Anyway, firebreath, I'm all for this once you'll tell us what the spirit thing means along with my original question about the power system. Check my original post to see what I said.

LMFAO I knew i missed something. I took the character sheet from another roleplay i had cause its basically the same thing, no need to make another one. Ill take that out right now, also its good to have a options like that cause you can have that option to have that level 2 character with a simple power, and only work on the characters development, instead of revolve it around his own powers. SO lets say ur power is like Unlocking any lock. Thats a level 2 power. That alone can survive you the whole rp if you play smart. Its just preference of what character you want. I've had the same thing so thats why i placed it. I said that you guys cant have up to 5 abilities that makes sense together, you cant have one category of ability then have another one. Also The energy bar is your health bar, once you run out of that you pass out and rip. Also having all that speed and health and that things i've found would be too complicated to place into roleplays like this. Also there there are rules in this roleplay. You cant kill characters out of no where unless you ask that person if its ok to attack your character will full mind set to kill. Cause if you kill a character out of no where thats just stupid.
