“Come on…. pull yourself together” I said to myself. I had been in my room for a while now, just trying to rest, and trying to get myself together. I could feel it happening again, that feeling I had right before I turned into… that thing. It was taking control, I could feel myself losing my sanity, my head pounding every second I try to fight it. I could even hear it talking to me in my thoughts.

“Come on Menial, just look at yourself!” I then felt my head forcefully turn toward a large sheet of metal, so I could see my reflection. “Your a 30 foot tall meat-sack, do you think they really care about you? They keep you in a den full of trash and ride you like a horse!” it said. Just let your rage loose already….”

“I…. I am not an animal!” I said in my mind.

“They already treat you like one, might as well act the part too.” The voice then faded away, and I stood in my den silently for the rest of the night.

“I can’t harm them again… I’m not safe to be around at this state…” I said to myself. and I was right, I wasn’t about to put my friends through that again.

(Shadow)



All this training for Olirum’s possible attack has completely made me forget about all the other priorities around here. So I was stuck doing the job of cleaning the waste disposal system… hooray for me. I was just about to go to clean it when I saw X walking by.

“Hey X!” I called out. “Do you mind helping me with some work around here? We’ve been twice as busy ever since we started training big time.” 

“Sorry Shadow, I don’t really feel up to it, I have this bad headache all of a sudden, why can’t Menial do it? It’s his usual job.” X replied.

“I tried asking him but he still seems shaken up after everything that’s been going on lately, said he still didn’t feel good.” I responded. X then walked out of the hallway toward his room. I then saw stardust running through the hallway with a large bag, perhaps he could help.

“Hey stardust!” I called out. Stardust immediately stopped running and looked at me. “Can you please help me with cleaning the waste system we’re pretty busy today and-“

“Sorry Shadow,” He said right before I could finish. “I can’t right now I got some uuuh… business, to attend to…” He said hesitating. He then immediately started running out toward the exit.

“Wait! Where the hell are you going!?!?” I exclaimed.

“Sorry! I’ll explain later, I’ll be back before nightfall!” He said as he ran out of the door. 

“Sometimes I feel like being leader has no point to it….” I said to myself.

(Olirum)



“It is time to start the attack.” I announced. Even without Stardog I’ll still have to continue the plan. I looked to the projection screen showing the bodily state of Stardust, X and Menial at this point.

“The chemical injection has already started to take it’s toll on Menial, it’s only a matter of time before X and Stardust give in. With this we can start the next phase of the plan.” I then looked down at the spider droids that Stardog had created. 

“Ready the Dragon Mech to attack the MADA base, and make sure with it you are able to capture Shadow and his team.” I commanded. The spider droids then exited the room to prepare.

“I still don’t understand why you are obsessed with those 4, how are they important to our mission exactly?” Crocface questioned.

“They are more important then you think. Azmain chose them for a reason.” I answered. “Azmain thought that even without him he could protect the energy sources, but I am about to put this foolishness to an end.”

(Stardust)

I flew back to the building that this Stardog guy was hiding out in. Despite how unusual he seems and the fact that I barely know him, I still wanted to learn from this guy. I don’t want to pass up a chance to learn archery after all. I was still completely aware that this guy could be trouble, I just had to trust I’d see his tricks coming first.

“Hello? Stardog?” I called out as soon as I got in. I continued to walk into the building and I saw a faint light coming from a distance. It looked like it was from a campfire. I immediately ran toward it to see the guy sitting next to an Oil can fire he set up.

“I see you’ve come back.” He said.

“I still don’t trust you completely, but with what’s been going on I’d like to be able to fight against Olirum.” I replied.

“Well then we need to start immediately, did you bring your bow?” 

“Of course.” I took it out of the bag along with the quiver full of arrows he gave me.

“Alright, it’s time to begin. See that target I put over there?” Stardog pointed toward a target mounted on the wall.

“Try to hit it. When using a bow make sure your grip is loose but sturdy.”

I held onto the bow and pulled back following his instruction.

“Make sure your feet are shoulder length apart and are facing the center of the target. Then align with your target, place your arrow and shoot.”

I followed his instructions and took aim at the target, with this I pulled the string back and released it, I watched as the arrow flew by quickly. To my surprise I actually hit the target.

“Very good, now try that again except try not to hold the string for too long.” He said.

I took aim again, however the string came loose from my hand launching the arrow out the window completely shattering the glass.”

“hehehe….” I laughed nervously.

“This is going to take a while…” Stardog said with a deep sigh.

(“X”)

I didn’t know what was happening to me, and I could just feel it getting worst. I could feel my head pounding, I felt as if something was trying to burst out of me. I just felt awful, and I didn’t even know why. In my head I could hear something whispering to me, I couldn’t make out what it was saying but something was trying to talk to me. I felt like I was losing my mind, I didn’t feel like me anymore.

“Just give in to it X….” the whispering said. “Let the chaos run free…”

I just groaned in pain as I held my hands to my head.

“Make it stop…. Make it stop…” I just kept saying. I ran to my bed and laid down, trying to ease the pain. It was just my head, like something was drilling out of my skull. I didn’t know what else to do. I could barely think at this point.

I was groaning in pain, in my mind begging the pain to stop. I just couldn’t take it, I just tried to close my eyes and sleep, but I just kept hearing this voice.

“Give into the chaos….” It kept telling me.

“I don’t want to… just stop! Please!” I kept saying.

“It’s already to late X…” it said ominously. At this point I was losing consciousness, feeling my eye lids getting heavier, eventually just lying in my bed.

(Stardust)

It was already dusk, the first day of bow training didn’t go so well. I definitely have a lot to work on, but right now I was beat for the day. I walked back up the rickety staircase. Every time I walk up here I feel like it just gets more busted each passing day. I swear one of these days these stairs will collapse.

I walked upstairs to see Shadow sitting on the old couch reading some books he found.

“Gee dusty, thanks for completely bailing on me.” Shadow said.

“Sorry, I just had… things to do.” I told Shadow. I couldn’t tell him at all about Stardog. I promised him that I wouldn’t tell anyone.

(Menial)

I was suddenly woken up by this ground shaking noise. I sprung out of the pile of rubble I was sleeping on and saw this big gashing hole in the wall. I walked outside to see what it was and I saw this towering mech, it looked similar to a giant Raptor. The size of it made me completely freeze in place. It was nearly 7 times bigger then me. It was black with purple cybernetic patterns around it’s body, it must’ve been from Olirum. The thing had 1 large purple orb in it’s stomach and 3 smaller ones above it, the larger orb then opened up revealing all these metal robotic tentacles and limbs. They then charged towards me wrapping me up trying to grave me.

“Wait wait NONONO” I yelled. I planted my feet and tried to push back, but it just kept binding me more and more, I couldn’t move and I was lifted up from the ground….

“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!??!” I yelled out. The entire building was shaking, we thought it was an earthquake but it couldn’t have been, none of the other outside buildings where shaking either. I tried to grab onto the door, everything in the room was falling down and getting scattered. Shadow was trying to grab onto something as well. It then all of a sudden stopped. We then heart this loud roar and saw something pass by the window flying upward. It radiated a purplish glow and was black. It was flying toward the top of the building.

“Come on, let’s get to the roof to see what’s there!” Shadow exclaimed. He bolted for the staircase as I followed him.

We were running up the staircase to the roof. I’m pretty sure everybody in the building could feel the vibrations and shaking. We could hear faint roars and things smashing down, whatever was happening it certainly was causing collatoral damage. I think by the time we get up the stairs the building would be in rubble. This place was already in bad condition due to the elements and previous onslaughts like this one.

My first thought was that it could’ve been Menial, like what happened last time with those freakish red eyes, But I don’t even think he could be causing this all. I was following Shadow up the stairs, when we finally reached the place we busted down the door open. What we saw next we were not at all prepared for.

There was this giant bird-like mech, with the same purplish black pattern as those robots Shadow told me about. It had to be sent from Olirum. The thing was big enough to take down the whole building if it wanted to. When we looked closer it’s torso had this large central purple orb in the middle of it, and Menial was inside.

“That thing has Menial!” I exclaimed to Shadow. It then lowered it’s head at us and roared. Just the shear force of that blew us back.

“How the hell are we gonna beat that thing? It’s bigger then Menial!” I yelled. 

“We have to try, that thing can destroy the whole building.” Shadow replied. I then immediately remembered that I still had my bow and arrows, Stardog had given me some explosive ones too. I immediately took the bow out along with my quiver as fast as I could.

“Where did you get that!?” Shadow questioned. The mech then Charged at us, Shadow veered to the Left and I veered the opposite direction.

“I’ll explain later!” I answered. I immediately loaded one of the explosive arrows Stardog had given me and placed it on the notch. The thing flew upward and I could see it diving toward us from above. I tried to take aim but my grip slipped and I missed. What’s even more upsetting is that the arrow came back down toward us.

Shadow saw it and immediately tried to get out of the way of both the Mech and Arrow, by some miracle, he was able to avoid both.

“WATCH WHERE YOUR AIMING THAT THING!” Shadow exclaimed.

“I’ve had ONE day of practice can you blame me!??!” I argued. We both knew this wasn’t the time to fight each other though, we had bigger fish to fry. I loaded another explosive arrow and tried to take aim again, This time for the orb at the center, Perhaps if I could free Menial we’d have a better chance at this. I carefully took aim, but I didn’t have much time as this thing was going in for another attack. I immediately took fire and it got the Mech, I didn’t hit the Orb but I atleast hit something.

“Yes…” I said in a hushed tone. However, my heart sank again when that explosion barely did damage to the thing.

“That’s it I’m going straight for it.” Shadow exclaimed. He started running toward it and then spread his wings and went for the head. He grabbed onto the thing and just started jabbing his knife into the machine hoping that would have some sort of effect.

I then started to hear something from behind me. I turned around and to my delight, I saw X!

“X!!! thank goodness your here” I exclaimed. But he just stood their completely still, facing the ground.

“What the hell are you waiting for, HELP US!!” Shadow exclaimed struggling to fight off the giant mech. But he just kept standing their. Eventually the dragon mech grabbed hold of Shadow and through him violently onto the ground. Even the dragon was confused as to what was going on and stood their staring as well.

“…X?” I asked slightly worried. After that I could hear him chuckling a little for some odd reason, which then turned into laughter. Shadow and I stared at each other completely confused.

“W-what’s so funny!? X?!?!” Shadow questioned.

He then shot his head up looking straight at us, he was laughing hysterically at this point. When we saw his face both of us became shocked. His eyes where completely blood red… Just like Menial’s where that time. His face had even formed this twisted and corrupted smile that stretched through his face. Even his voice changed, it was more scratchy and slightly deeper. He eventually stopped laughing for a little bit and looked down at his hands, which also turned a fiery red.

“I can feel the chaos surging through my veins, changing me, making me stronger, changing my very thoughts… I feel like a TRUE Demon!” He exclaimed. His robe then was set ablaze and fell off of him.

“X!? Y-your acting more paranoid then usual here…” I said, extremely petrified. I didn’t know how to react to what is going on.

“I was conceived with corrupt darkness and fiery destruction, and with my power I shall bring your DEMISE!!!” just as he said that the very ground he was standing on set a blaze. “MAY THE GATES OF HELL OPEN UPON YOUR VERY DEATHS!!!” He exclaimed laughing psychotically again. As he kept laughing various red tentacles and flesh started to rip out from his skin. The black material that made up his outer skin started to splat everywhere as more and more limbs and tentacles popped out from him. They started to envelop him, cocoon him up in some way, and they even started to plant into the ground. Eventually there was this giant cocoon of flesh that was infront of us. It was almost about 15 feet tall. I then noticed that it was pulsing, just like a giant heart.

Suddenly the thing bursted into a fiery explosion, with it I could hear laughter from the blaze it created. It was like X’s voice but more demonic and deep. I got up from the ground after being blasted away from the explosion, and all I could do was tremble as I watched in horror….

(Shadow)



From the blaze that X created I saw a giant arm pop up. It was made of the same black material that made up X’s skin. It had red vein’s running through the body and had unusual pieces of bone that poked through the skin. X then revealed his monstrous form. His tentacles had planted himself into the ground, his torso was a giant bloody rip cage with a vile of red ooze and live tissue, and his face had just turned into a Giant cavern of a mouth. Sharp teeth encircled the hole that was his mouth and it was bloodied and in the center was a single blood-red eye.

“First Menial, Now this!??!” I exclaimed. I then heard a loud groan of pain, I turned around to see that it was stardust. He was holding his hands to his head, it looked like he was having some sort of a headache.

“Stardust?” I asked. His beak just started then dripping what appeared to be blood. He then kneeled onto the ground. I was about to run over to help him, but then I remembered X and the giant Bird Mech. I looked over to see that X was confronting the machine. Several of his tentacles then popped out of his back and his ribcage opened up revealing more tentacles. They then quickly extended toward the mech, and the tentacles started to entangle the giant Machine. Even in the horrific form “X” took, he wasn’t nearly big enough to defeat the machine in a physical confrontation. But the tentacles started ripping off the outer casing of the Bird mech, and started digging and stabbing into it ripping wires apart and disassembling it. It was just a machine but the savage way “X” was destroying it was horrific, he was mutilating it inside and out. The glowing purple eventually died down and the machine broke down as well. X then dropped the Machine onto the ground with Menial still inside and quickly turned to me and Stardust.

“YOUR TURN.” he exclaimed in a loud demonic voice. Before I could even react, the tentacles came flying at us and grabbing at me and Stardust. He picked both of us up with the tentacles as we tried to loosen their grip.

I realized that Stardust became unconscious, most likely it was connected to that strange headache he had.

“X, please, you don’t wanna do this do you!?!?” I tried to reason with him. It was no use though, whatever was going on with Menial it’s now happening to X. He definitely isn’t himself and has become a complete animal. His ribcage then opened up, revealing sharp bone within that moved in a rather stabbing motion. We were starting to be dragged closer toward it, I couldn’t loosen my grip at all, and I didn’t have much time.

“Alright, that’s it! I didn’t want to hurt you but you leave me no choice!” I exclaimed. I turned my knife so that the blade faced down and I slashed the tentacle in half. I landed on the ground and I immediately through my knife at the tentacle grabbing Stardust. It sliced through dropping him down.

X then roared at us and I had a feeling he wasn’t done fighting, but strangely, he just stopped. Just like with Menial, X was strangely frozen. He then fell unconsciously to the ground, and started returning to Normal. I was breathing extremely heavily, I didn’t feel exhausted until just now. But my break was interrupted by something. I could hear an unusual sound of clicking and clanging. I turned around to see the remnants of the Mech. They where moving, squirming around and joining together. It was self assembling, regenerating. It then stood up good as new, looking down toward me. 2 of the other orbs that where above Menial’s then opened up, and then robotic limbs then started going toward X and Stardust, and started to bind them up. I realized right then and there why Olirum sent this machine. It was a capture droid, coming to take us. 

“Stardust! X! NO!” I yelled. The machine then picked them up and sealed them in the other two orbs. The final orb opened up, that orb was for me. I tried to back up, I was frightened at the time, I couldn’t let this happen. I didn’t know what to do though, I realized I couldn’t do anything but watch. I was trapped…
