Re: Top 10 favorite decks
I'm gonna be bumping this here thing.
None of the decks are in order as that would be a nightmare for me to do as I like all of these decks basically equally and trying to order them would be impossible for me to do as they all have their own things that I like a lot about them.
Dragunity - A very old fave of mine, this is the deck I got into competitive Yugioh with. A rather simple deck to use till Heratics and and other stuff got figured out with it to become a very OTK centric deck that was a little bit more complicated but still easy enough to learn. Based around Synchro summoning originally and could consistently get out level 8s and 6s pretty consistently, which at that time were some of the best Synchros to go for, and could get out level 10s relatively easy as well but generally only did it once a duel. Was even possible to do level 9s if you used that right card. Eventually got to where it became OTK orientated and utilized XYZs along with Synchros to get a big field. I use to have a ton of different Dragunity decks because of how many different buids you could do with them, though most ran the same basic principle there were enough little differences to keep them different from each other. Another thing I liked was how well they could work with the Assault cards.
Monarch - Another deck close to my heart due to Caius having been my first card to ever own (and being my fave YGO card as well) besides looking badass the worked well with Frogs and a RFP deck based around abusing Survivor and/or Scout Plane. Now the new Mega Monarchs are awesome as well as the "overlord" Monarchs plus all the new support they have to make them into a legit budget deck that is able to compete very well with the meta.
Madolches - Another classic for me. I've been playing these cute guys since I first found them on DN and fell in love instantly. They can work with so many different engines it is unreal while also being able to go off extremely well and even OTK or loop Anjelly and Mew to keep on using them.
Majespecter - A newer deck I have fallen in love with. The cuteness helps a lot. I also like how they can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects and how disruptive their S/T goes off and how the set-up a little by little starting out until they are ready to go for that big push for the win. I just really like the way they play.
Frogs - Another oldie of mine. I liked playing them with Monarchs but I just like how spammable they are I general and how well they can stall out a duel until they get the cards they need have their massive deck thinning and how easy they can get out cards that need 2 or 3 tributes and swarming the field with Rank 2s along the way. Just a fun deck to use.
Chaos Piper - My baby. A deck a carefully crafted to make perfect during the E-Drag/Spellbook format and actually did well in that format. I just put so much effort into crafting this deck and I just loved playing it so much. It was designed to play the grind game and make my opponent wear down their resources and then go in for the kill with a ton of big bad monsters. I've been desperately trying to make it fit in this new format but it has been a challenge.
Dark Dump - You Arma Knight and Dark Grepher to send Dark monsters to the grave and abuse their effects from the grave their. A deck that can be made in a variety of ways. I've done Vayu Turbo with this kind of deck, a classic Dark Dump deck, on that utilized Rainbow Dark Dragon (or at least tried to rofl), another that focused around Exodia Necross, and my current build takes advantage of Shadow Mist of Mask HERO shenanigans.
T.G. Stun - This was another deck I loved back when Skill Drain and TKRO were both at 3. A very fun deck with tons of backrow to mess with what the opponent does along with monsters that search stuff out from the grave, a big beast-stick that could be normal summoned without tribute that could have 3k atk while Drain was on the field another monster that messed with opponent's inherent summons and another monster that floated. I just loved how disruptive this deck was.
RFP based deck (now known as Banish) - Oh back when Macro and Dfissure were at 3. Good times good times. This deck was basically the anti-meta king with how many different disruption cards it could play backed by cards getting Banished. Could even play some Monarch if Survivor and/or Scout Plane were being used. Just a really cool deck.
Ritual Beasts - Another more recent fave of mine. I love the insanely long combos the deck was capable of pulling off and how it didn't mind things like Macro or Dfissure or Soul Drain and blah blah blah and could main deck them. Ulti Hawk loops were fun. Fusions were all good in general. And the deck just required really smart thinking to be able to work with badish hands as the decked lacked a bit in consistency. Utli Hawk being limited made me so sad, though.
