Oldschool deck, The Troll Power of: Spirits
Playing style: manipulate your opponent's field (gain control of their monsters, bounce, and/or field nuke) during your turn. Stall your opponent out on their turn, to protect yourself of your monsters condition (return to hand during your EP). Most of the spirits cannot be special summoned.
Best spirits in deck:
Rasetsu: Level: 4 Attribute: Fire ATK: 1500 DEF: 1900 Fairy/Spirit/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can reveal 1 Spirit monster from your hand, except "Rasetsu", then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; return that target to the hand. You cannot Special Summon the turn you activate this effect.
Yamato-No-Kami: Level: 6 Attribute: Dark ATK: 2200 DEF: 1200 Warrior/Spirit/Effect
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 1 Spirit monster from your Graveyard. This card returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn it is Special Summoned. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls.
Nikitama: Level: 4 Attribute: Light ATK: 800 DEF: 1800 Fairy/Spirit/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. During the turn this card was Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, you can Normal Summon 1 Spirit monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) When this card is sent to the Graveyard: Draw 1 card. You must control a Spirit monster to activate and to resolve this effect.
Aratama: Level: 4 Attribute: Dark ATK: 800 DEF: 1800 Fiend/Spirit/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 Spirit monster from your Deck to your hand, except “Aratama”.
Dark Dust Spirit: Level: 6 Attribute: Earth ATK: 2200 DEF: 1800 Zombie/Spirit/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Destroy all other face-up monsters on the field.
Fenghuang: Level: 6 Attribute: Fire ATK: 2100 DEF: 1800 Winged Beast/Spirit/Effect
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Return it to the hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Destroy all Set Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls.
Recommended tech cards:
Creature Swap: Normal Spell Card
Always best to use the card after summoning a spirit, cause not only you gain your opponent's monster, you get yours bounced to your hand due to condition at EP.
Stalling cards: (Negate Attack, Threatening Roar, Battle Fader etc.)
half the time your field will only have backrow (or in worse cases, empty field). these guys are there to extend the duel, and help you meet the win condition.
BLS/Chaos Sorcerer: Summoning these guys out of nowhere almost always throws your opponent off balance and possibly make it game.
The extra deck isn't really needed, but if you want one i suggest using rank 4 and (few) rank 6 xyzs.
