MADA Card of the Week #1

Post by Stardog on Fri Sep 16, 2016 11:18 am

This idea was given to me by Arctic (currently known as Yukio Okumaru). And then slightly modified by Lex from being Card of the Month to Card of the Week. As suggested, MADA will be able to pick their own Card of the Week separate from the one I do. The Big 3 will not be voting on these posts (With 1 exception)

Rules:

1. Can only suggest 2 card at a time
2. List your reasons (Optional but it helps)
3. Must be legal to use in the current format

After a couple days, we will take your choices, poll it and see which one wins by voting. This will be the first and hopefully it will go well. List your cards and your reasoning and in 36 hours we will start to poll them and then the winner of the poll will be the Card of the Week starting Monday. In the event of a tie, the Big 3 will vote in order to break the tie and have a winner.

2. Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing

(Obvious reasons.)

1. Palladium Oracle Mahad
This card gives "Dark Magician" decks a serious power card over the likes of "Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon," "Kozmo Dark Destroyer/Eclipser," and even the one, new...dark Monarch (too lazy to look it up) and replaces himself upon his death.

2. Level Eater
I feel this would be a good idea, to honor the memory of one of the most overpowered cards in Synchro-deck history.

i support the level eater tbh <.<

also im like 70% sure your referring to erebus the underworld monarch.

anywaaaaaaay my two picks:

GHOST BEEF

a very fucking vertasile as FUCK pendulum ive come to adore.

hes level 7, scale 4, vanilla, dark, 2k attack, ability to mod his scales.
this guy deserves a spot imo, hes a summoner's art target, sacred sword ofseven stars target, allure of darkness target an emergency low scale, or a high scale if your feeling lucky, aaaaand great rank 7 fodder.

aaaand

Vylon Prism

level 4, 1500 attack thunder tuner, grabbable with thunder seahorse, can be summoned with the hunders...

and he can equip himself to the monster hes used to synch with and can give it an additional 1000 attack when it attacks ANYTHING, monster OR opp. i love this guy to death.

- Sage Knight with Eyes of Blue
This card itself is a lvl 1 light atrribute tuner. When normal summoned can let you add a lvl 1 light tuner to your hand. This card can be splashed into so many decks and is the handiest to search out Effect Veilers quick and easy to the hand. Cards such as Alien Ammonite and Companion of the Destruction Swordmaster can be easily searched as well with this card. Not to mention Where Arf Thou can be applied to it.
In a format where Effect Veiler is becoming really handy again, I believe Sage is an excellent splashable searcher and a good card for the CotW

- Level Eater
With this card getting axed I believe that we should honour it as it has honoured us on the fields of combat time and time again with ridiculous fun comboes especially in ancient synchro decks.
My fondest memories are of utilizing it in my insect and dark based decks and especially as fusion fodder for Starve Venom.
See you later, Level Eater...

1. Instant Fusion

It's good in combination with Norden but even beyond Norden it still brings a monster that can be used for a Synchro or Xyz and is splashable.

2. Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju

Almost in every scenario an upgrade from Lava Golem, with maybe an exception to Burn decks, it's a card that can very easily fit the side deck and even the main deck to get rid of cards that are giving you an issue.

I'm a tad late on this. The poll will be open for 48 hours. I'll try to remember to be a bit more on point with these kinds of situations.
