Top 10 Engines Empty Top 10 Engines

Post by HoennZach Wed Oct 28, 2015 5:43 pm

Splashable Engines have influenced the creative minds of deckbuilders for as long as I can remember. These engines could be splashed in most if not all decks and see a reasonable amount of success. The question is what is YOUR 10 favorite engines

Ill start Razz

1. Plant Synchro Engine - This is easily hands down my FAVORITE engine of all time. Most everyone here thats dueled me or seen me duel knows me as the "FF Plant Guy" as thats the deck I mainly use. Its been my most successful plant deck to date and as new cards come into the game, the more unofficial plant support we get. The engine will never truly die and as someone who stuck with it through even the roughest times I can say its in its prime right now so its perfect to experiment with atm.

2. Speedroids - I have been causing a ruckus in chat about the multiple uses of the simple 6-7 card engine of 3 Terrortop 2 Taket and 1-2 Red Eyed Dice. This engine was recently introduced to me and all I can say is I LOVE IT. This reminds me of the good ole Tour Guide Engine but better and options for Clear Wing, Blade Armor, and Mist Wurm in every deck is too much to pass up. (Currently combining this with U.A'S, Performage Engine, and soon a Plant engine look out for those when you duel me Smile )

3. Clown Engine - *Insert sarcastic comments about how you didnt see this coming* The clown engine is by far the best rank 4 engine in the game. You can splash the clowns in virtually any deck, make a deck based around the clowns, combine the clown engine with several other engines to make a new Synchro/XYZ spam deck. Like the options are limitless with this engine (Until your below 1K Lifepoints)

4. Brilliant Fusion - *insert more remarks about how this was expected* Brilliant fusion acts like 3 more foolish burials for certain decks... that gets you a high level monster on the field. Sending specific monsters to the grave IS HUGE in todays game of yugimonz.

5. Djinn Lock Engine - There was actually a 3 card engine to get a Djinn lock in any deck. 1 Nekroz of Clausolaus 1 Nekroz Cycle and 1 Djinn Releaser of Rituals. This was mainly used in decks that had a way to get Djinn to the grave fast and then would use ROTA to search clausolaus to search cycle. I LOVED locking my opponents down with this engine it was hilarious summoning something like Clear Wing and Herald of the arc light then summon a djinn locked Claus. Things were amazing.

6. Tour Guide Engine - The good old days before BA came along we had 3 tour guide of the underworld. What could we do with that? Normal Tour Guide and get a level 3 dark fiend from your deck and XYZ for a rank 3. What can we do now? Same thing but we only get one TGU, and thats no fun. Also I personally think Speedroids are better since they dont eat a normal summon. But back in the day this was one of the most powerful engines.

7. "Familiar" Engine - This consists of the 1500 attack 200 defense monsters that special themselves when a spellcaster is on the field Jigabyte, Nefarious, and Inari Fire. With some of the strongest Anti Meta monsters in the game being spellcasters you can toss these in a spellcaster deck and have a pretty strong stun/xyz deck.

8. Lightsworn Engine - While I dont like Lightsworns at all on their own, they can bring some drawpower and speed to some slower decks that need cards in the grave so they get the spot here.

9. Junk/Jet Synchron Engine - Jet synchron searches Junk Synchron when used as synchro material. Junk Synchron revives Jet Synchron to synchro with. The 2 are basically a pseudo Altair/Deneb loop except you need more monsters on the field to synch with and the result is usually far more threatening. This engine will really pick up speed once more Pendulums come out.

10. Destiny Hero Engine - D Draw Mali and D Dude are the name of the game here. I like the D heros more than Lightsworns but they arent really useful at all unless you have d draw to drop a mali.
